The Search Continues for Lori Blaylock at Detroit Lake

Searchers may return to the area if new information or evidence is developed.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Deputy Gelatt Approximately 115 volunteers and public safety personnel participated in Saturday's search for the body of Lori Blaylock.

Lori Blaylock was last seen in October 28, 2010 when she was reported missing from her residence in Bend, Oregon. Some of her clothing was found along the Santiam River. Her husband, Steven Blaylock, has been arrested and is pending trial for her murder.

Investigators Need Public`s Assistance to Find Homicide Victim

(SALEM, Ore.) - Lori Baylock missing poster The Marion County Sheriff's Office and the Bend Police Department are working together on the investigation into the death of Lori Blaylock, a 48-year-old Bend resident.

Ms. Blaylock was reported missing by co-workers when she failed to report for work on November 2nd.

Oregon Air National Guard to Take Part in Veterans Day Flyovers Around the State

(SALEM, Oregon) - 173d Fighter Wing F-15 The Oregon Air National Guard will conduct Veterans Day flyovers for various ceremonies at locations throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.

F-15 Eagle fighter jets from the 142nd Fighter Wing in Portland and the 173rd Fighter Wing at Kingsley Field are scheduled to conduct flyovers at the following locations and approximate times:

All passes will be approximately 1,000 feet above ground level and 350 knots airspeed. Flights could be cancelled or times changed due to inclement weather or operational contingencies.

Special Olympics Oregon Fall Regional Games Held Statewide

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - soor logo Several communities throughout Oregon will once again host Special Olympics Oregon Fall Regional Games on consecutive weekends in Late October and November. More than 2,000 athletes will compete in one of 10 competitions in seven cities. Hundreds of coaches, volunteers and families will join in to support competitors.

The Fall Regional Games, presented by Les Schwab Tire Centers, officially begins Sunday, October 31 with a bowling competition at Lakeshore Lanes in Albany. Regional competitions continue the following weekend with Corvallis hosting aquatics on Saturday, November 6 and soccer and volleyball on Sunday, November 7. Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham will also host aquatics on November 7. November 13 & 14 will conclude the fall season with bowling competitions in Beaverton, Bend, Hermiston, Medford and Portland.

Traffic Stop Leads to Over 20 lbs. of Marijuana Near Madras

(BEND, Ore.) - Ryan Michael Buley A Spokane, Washington man was arrested by Oregon State Police (OSP) Friday after a traffic stop nine miles south of Madras revealed over 20 1/2 lbs. of marijuana concealed in his vehicle.

On Friday at approximately 2:16 p.m. an OSP trooper stopped a 2002 Mercury Cougar sedan displaying Washington license plates northbound on Highway 97 near milepost 107 for failure to maintain a lane of travel. The vehicle's driver was identified as Ryan Michael Buley, age 25, from Spokane, Washington.

Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission Makes `Hunter Orange` Mandatory for Youth

Kids must wear hunter orange by 8/1/11...unless they're already in the safety habit.

(BEND, Ore.) - Hunter Orange The Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission today made wearing hunter orange mandatory for youth 17 years of age and younger. The rule will take effect August 1, 2011.

The rule will require the wearing of a hunter orange upper garment OR hat for youth hunters while hunting game mammals and upland birds (except turkey) with any firearm.
