Portland Police Searching for Stolen Goat

Penelope is described as a two-year-old female Nigerian Dwarf Goat, approximately 2'5" tall, 50 pounds, brown and white in color.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Penelope The Goat Portland Police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing goat that was stolen from a residence in the 6800 block of Southeast 122nd Avenue on Monday.

Portland Police spokesman Sergeant Pete Simpson said the owner of Penelope the goat reported that she was tethered and secured in the front yard and that she was taken sometime between 3:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.

Mother Wanted for Death of Toddler, Injured Teen in Ore. Motel Room Arrested

This was the first homicide in Cannon Beach in almost 50 years.

(CANNON BEACH, Ore. ) - Jessica Smith Police in Cannon Beach, Oregon say they have arrested the mother who was wanted in connection with the murder of her 2-year-old daughter and the attempted murder of her teenage daughter.

40-year-old Jessica Smith was taken into custody Sunday afternoon after her vehicle was found in a heavily forested area near Cannon Beach, police chief Jason Schermerhorn said.

Mom Wanted in Connection of Toddlers Death NOT Arrested in Salem

(SALEM, Ore. ) - BREAKING NEWS Salem Police and the Marion County Sheriff's Office have both confirmed to Salem-News.com Sunday night that 40-year-old Jessica Smith of Goldendale, Washington, who is wanted in connection with the death of a toddler and her teen sister found critically wounded in a Cannon Beach hotel, was NOT arrested in Salem or Marion County as many people on social media have been reporting.

Salem Police Lt. Steve Birr says their office has been getting lots of calls about the situation, and that Salem Police arrested Smith are not true. Marion County Sheriff's spokesman Sergeant Chris Baldridge also confirmed that currently there is nobody being held at the Marion County Jail.

The Diane Downs` Case Was No Small Sacrifice

The Diane Downs case is a notorious piece of Oregon crime history. But was justice served? Not by today's standards.

(British Columbia) - Diane Downs On May 19, 1983, Elizabeth Diane Downs and her three small children were shot on a country road near Springfield, Oregon. Her 7-year old daughter Cheryl died, but her 3-year old son Danny and her 8-year old daughter Christie survived.

Within three weeks, Diane had lost custody of her remaining wounded children and had become the number one suspect in the eyes of the police department and District Attorney’s office. I came across some very interesting information about the Diane Downs case because Rule attended the trial and also wrote a book about the case called Small Sacrifices.

Craigslist Ad for Car Turns Out to be Front for Armed Robbery

The suspects are described only as two white males, possibly in their 20's, wearing dark clothing and dark masks.

(BORING, Ore. ) - Oregon Police Lights The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating the suspects involved in an armed robbery of a man, and his family, who were going to purchase a used car he found on Craigslist.

When the victim and his family arrived at a Boring, Ore. gas station at about 10:30 p.m., the seller called and told him to drive to "his" nearby home. When they arrived the victim noticed that the home was dark. They stopped in front of the home, and when they did they were confronted by two armed men with semi-automatic handguns.

Search for Missing Oregon Mom Will Continue Through the Weekend

The Newberg-Dundee Police Department is receiving many tips and potential leads and they will follow-up on each one, investigators said.

(NEWBERG, Ore. ) - Salem-News.com The search for a missing Oregon mother who vanished after getting gas from a Newberg gas station last week, will continue through the weekend Salem-News.com has learned, even though two law enforcement agencies say they have exhausted all leads, and will stop for now.

Despite some media reports in Oregon saying the search is coming to an official "end", police, family, and friends of 38-year-old Jennifer Huston don't see it that way, and will continue their search for her on the ground handing out fliers of the missing woman at various events taking place throughout the Willamette Valley. Several police agencies will also continue their searchers by land, water, and air during regular patrols.

Oregon Sex Offender Arrested for Sex Abuse; Police Looking for Other Victims

Oregon State Police believe there could be more victims.

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - Melvin Bud Richard Stout Jr. Oregon State Police Criminal Investigations Division arrested a 55-year old Eugene man who is a registered sex offender on allegations that he provided marijuana and alcohol to a 15-year old female and sexually abused the victim.

Salem Police Arrest Two Armed Robbery Suspects

The suspects allegedly stole another juveniles bike at gunpoint.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Salem Police Car Salem Police have arrested two juveniles who they say took part in an armed robbery on July 19.

Lt. Steve Birr with Salem Police says Thursday night around 8:00 p.m., detectives from the criminal investigations division and the street crimes unit, along with the Salem Police SWAT team, served a search warrant in the 4900 block of Sunnyside Road SE.

Salem Police Issue 50 Tickets During Crosswalk Safety Campaign

This safety campaign was conducted in partnership with Oregon Impact in order to address pedestrian and crosswalk safety.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Salem Oregon Police The Salem Police Department conducted a four-hour pedestrian crosswalk project on Wednesday on Commercial Street NE at Columbia Street.

This location has a marked, painted crosswalk, police said. Eight officers participated in the project which included an officer dressed in plain clothes who crossed the street in the crosswalk.

Portland Police Investigating Possible Gang Related Shooting

So far, police have found no gunshot victims, and are asking for the public's help in their investigation.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Shooting Investigation Portland Police are investigating what could be a gang related shooting Wednesday afternoon in NE Portland.

Portland Police spokesman Sgt. Pete Simpson says officers responded at 3:43 p.m., to multiple 9-1-1 calls of shots fired in the area of Northeast 12th Avenue and Schuyler Street.
