Erratic Winds Push Flames of Scott Mountain Fire

There are a number of related closures.

(SCOTT MOUNTAIN, Oregon) - Scott Mountain Fire photos from August 25, 2010  As seen from Fritz/Wildcat area. The 950-acre Scott Mountain Fire is burning approximately two miles northeast of Scott Mountain, 15 miles west of Sisters, and 14 miles northeast of McKenzie Bridge in the Mt. Washington Wilderness Area.

The interagency Pacific Northwest Incident Management Team 3 has assumed command of this fire. Smoke from the Scott Mountain Fire has impacted and will continue to impact central Oregon and was being reported yesterday as far away as the lower Santiam Canyon area just east of Salem.

California Homicide Ends Mystery of Missing Portland Man

The body was recently identified as being that of Ronald Lee Guy.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - 42-year-old Ronald Lee Guy In March 2005, the Portland Police Bureau took a missing person report for Ronald Lee Guy, a 42-year-old resident of Northeast Portland. Guy was reported missing by his girlfriend, and the circumstances of his disappearance were determined to be suspicious.

The case was jointly investigated by the Portland Police Bureau Missing Persons Unit and Homicide Detail detectives.

Southbound I-205 Closed Due to Serious Crash

Traffic should get moving a little later this morning; allow extra time if you commute on the I-205. The aternate traffic route would be SR 14 to I-5.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Crash investigation Officers arrived at a crash in the southbound lanes of the I-205 Glenn Jackson Bridge to find all SB lanes blocked, midspan, on the north leg of the bridge.

Sgt. Pete Simpson with the Portland Police Bureau says a semi-truck and two trailers rolled and smashed a Honda Civic. Officers learned that the Honda and another car were in some sort of road rage incident that caused the accident with the semi-truck, which was not involved in the road rage."

Detectives Seek Public Help in Kyron Horman Case

Investigators release new photos and requests.

(PORTLAND,Ore.) - Kyron Horman is a missing second-grader from Portland A press conference was held today to discuss the situation surrounding the disappearance of seven-year old Kyron Horman, a missing second grader from Portland who disappeared in early June.

Lt. Mary Lindstrand with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office says law enforcement is seeking assistance from the public in several areas.

Oregon; A State of Transit Deception

Without real change, Oregon will remain a state of transit deception; superior now but in serious trouble for the future.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Public transportation in Oregon Look around the Willamette Valley and you will see the Max train running through Portland, buses riding through neighborhoods, and trains that cross state lines into Washington.

You may see all of this and think Oregon has public transportation pretty well figured out, as most people do, and reside in the comfort that with all the problems our country faces today, at least Oregon can get from point A to point B better than anyone else in America.

Search for Kyron Continues

The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office search for Kyron enters the 10th week.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Kyron Horman Investigators with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office, along with search and rescue personnel from throughout Oregon and S.W. Washington, spent Saturday August 7th and Sunday, August 8th searching for the missing boy, following up on information received related to the Kyron Horman investigation.

Deputies in Multnomah County say they are following up on leads as they are called in.

Portland Police Conclude Investigation Involving Al Gore

Prosecutors will not pursue a Portland woman's allegations against former Vice President Al Gore.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Former Vice President Al Gore The Portland Police Bureau has concluded its investigation on allegations made against Mr. Al Gore. The completed investigation was forwarded to the Multnomah County District Attorney on July 27, 2010.

Since the District Attorney has announced the intention to decline the case for prosecution, the Police Bureau has made all reports available on its website, portlandpolicebureau.com, with confidential information redacted.

5K Walk/Run for the Fallen

The speaker scheduled for the 21 August 2010 event is Gold Star Mother Linda Giibson.
