Portland Police Investigating Homicide DowntownSalem-News.comDetectives are asking for more witnesses to come forward with information on the homicide as there were dozens of people who left the area before officers had a chance to speak with them. (PORTLAND, Ore.) -
Police responding to a disturbance early this morning were just clearing the scene when officers heard several gunshots coming from the area of NW 2nd Avenue and Couch Street.

On Saturday September 25, 2010, Portland Police Homicide Detectives arrested 51-year-old Charles Edward Pelham in connection with the stabbing death of 45-year-old Todd James Young.

The victim in last night's homicide has been identified as 45-year-old Todd James Young of Northeast Portland. The Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy this morning and determined that Young died of a stab wound.
