Oregon State Women’s Swimming - Alumni Return for a Morning of CompetitionSalem-News.com Sports(CORVALLIS, Ore.) - The Oregon State women’s swim team hosted its annual Alumni Relays this Saturday at Stevens Natatorium in Dixon Recreation Center. Both men and women alumni attended the event to get a chance to compete with the current team and against each other. Special Olympics Oregon Fall Regional Games Held StatewideSalem-News.com(PORTLAND, Ore.) -
Several communities throughout Oregon will once again host Special Olympics Oregon Fall Regional Games on consecutive weekends in Late October and November. More than 2,000 athletes will compete in one of 10 competitions in seven cities. Hundreds of coaches, volunteers and families will join in to support competitors.

Salem ODOT Worker Injured When Car Careens Through Construction ZoneMatt LintzAlcohol consumption by the 17 year old driver appears to be a major contributing factor (SALEM, Oregon) - Shortly after 9:00 PM September 29th, an ODOT worker suffered serious, but not life threatening, injuries when a 1999 Honda Accord driven by a 17 year old male from Salem lost control and drove into a road construction project. The worker, 46 year old Philip Lane of Corvallis, was standing on the side of the roadway on Kuebler Blvd by I-5 when he was struck by the westbound car. After the vehicle struck Lane, it continued until it struck the rear of a street sweeper, causing substantial damage. Read Full Article |
