Linn Detectives Arrest Man for Distributing Child Pornography

38-year old Robert Dean Douglas was arrested and lodged at the Benton County Corrections Facility.

(ALBANY, Ore.) - An Albany man was arrested Wednesday for downloading, possession and distribution of videos and images depicting children engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Police Investigate Serious Christmas Eve Injury Traffic Crash

Crash happened on Highway 20 between Corvallis and Albany‏.

(CORVALLIS, Ore.) - Several people were injured, some seriously, Thursday evening in a three vehicle traffic crash on Highway 20 between Corvallis and Albany.

Oregon State Police troopers, with the help of Albany Police Department, are continuing the investigation but not all names are available for this release.

Police Investigate Armed Robbery in Corvallis

Ron Noble Talks About Recovery of Murder Victim Brooke Wilberger (VIDEO)

The former Corvallis Police Lieutenant says he is relieved by the recovery of Brooke's remains, calling it bittersweet news.

(SALEM, Ore.) - McMinnville Police Chief Ron Noble was a Corvallis Police Lieutenant when Brooke Wilberger disappeared in May 2004. Her remains were recovered in recent days after a confession from her killer, Joel Courtney. He avoided a death sentence by revealing the location of her remains.

Information From Murder Suspect Leads to Discovery of Brooke Wilberger`s Remains

As a part of the plea agreement, the Benton County District Attorney was able to obtain information necessary to locate and recover Brooke Wilberger's remains.

(CORVALLIS, Ore.) - On May 24, 2004, Brooke Wilberger was abducted by Joel Courtney who subsequently murdered her. Despite extensive efforts, Brooke Wilberger's remains were not recovered during the course of the criminal investigation.

Joel Courtney was charged with the Aggravated Murder of Brooke Wilberger, and the case was set for trial beginning February 2010.

Captain Jonathan M. Sassaman with the Corvallis Police Department, says they have released the recording of the initial 911 Call. The female caller who reported the Homicide has asked to not be identified.

Police want to hear from anyone who observed a person between Saturday and Sunday afternoon, acting out of place, suspicious in nature or with blood on their clothing, shoes or skin.

(CORVALLIS, Ore.) - The Corvallis Police and the Benton County Major Crimes Team was activated Sunday to investigate a suspicious death at 2120 NW Janssen Street in Corvallis.
