Horse Throws Woman After Being Spooked by Swarm of Bees

70-year old female horseback rider injured and rescued on the Pacific Crest Trail‏.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Rescue of horseback rider of Pacific Crest Trail 9-27-09 A 70-year old female horseback rider was thrown and injured when her horse was spooked by a swarm of bees on the Pacific Crest Trail Sunday, according to Jim Strovink with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.

He says it happened Sunday at approximately 3:30 p.m., as 5 females were riding horses on the Pacific Crest Trail, near the Twin Lakes trail. A swarm of bees spooked the horse,and Strovink says it is likely that one of the animals stepped on a nest of bees along the trail.

Police Investigate Fatal Traffic Crash on Highway 26 in Welches

Witnesses say one of the vehicles was driving at a high rate of speed just before the crash.

(WELCHES, Ore.) - Fatal crash Oregon State Police troopers are investigating Wednesday night's fatal traffic crash that killed a Welches-area man and injured another person on Highway 26 in Welches. The name of the surviving driver is withheld at this time.

OSP Trooper Scott McLeod says he was patrolling eastbound on Highway 26 near milepost 41 last night at approximately 8:49 p.m., when he came upon the scene of a two-vehicle crash resting in the westbound lanes.

Armed Robbery Suspect Sought in Clackamas County

The robbery suspect is described as a white, male adult in his late 20's to early 30's, about six feet tall, and 220 pounds.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Suspect in a recent coffee house armed robbery in Clackamas, Oregon Investigators in Clackamas County say last Friday just before 4:00 p.m., a male subject robbed The Coffee's On -- a coffee shop located on SE Sunnyside Road, in Clackamas.

Detective Jim Strovink with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, says they believe the robbery suspect was armed. He reportedly stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

Sheriff`s Deputies Arrest 37 DUII Drivers over Labor Day Weekend

Sheriff's offices in this report include Washington County, Clackamas County, Multnomah County and Yamhill County.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Handcuffs As a result of a consolidated effort by the Regional Sheriff's Offices from Clackamas, Multnomah, Washington, and Yamhill counties, 37 DUII drivers were arrested and taken off of the region's roadways during the Labor Day weekend.

Deputies from the four Sheriff's Offices in the region worked extra shifts from Friday, September 4th to Monday September 7th, in an attempt to make the roads safer for holiday travelers.

The Clackamas County Dispatch received a report Sunday of a female subject that was initially submerged in the water, retrieved from the water and then revived.

Happy Vally Stabbing Murder Suspect Arrested

Ruben Ateaga was arrested for charges of Murder and second-degree Assault.

(VANCOUVER, Wash.) - Handcuffs Clackamas County Sheriff's Office detectives arrested the suspect believed responsible for the July 12th stabbing murder in Happy Valley. Clackamas Jim Strovink says the arrest was made Thursday around 5:45 p.m., "with the generous cooperation of the Vancouver Police Department."
