Vehicle Crashes Into Molalla River (PHOTOS)

The condition of the victims is unknown at this time. Their names are not being released at this time pending family notification.

(CLACKAMAS, OR) - Car crashes into Molalla River in Oregon Just after midnight Clackam as County received a 911 call reporting a vehicle crash on the Molalla Forest Rd east of Molalla. A vehicle had gone off the roadway and landed upside down in the river.

Two people were in the vehicle at the time of the crash. The crash occurred about 7 miles east of the intersection with Dickey Prairie Road.

Deputies Pursue Suspects Near Stayton (VIDEO)

A deputy involved in the reported chase says the pursuit reached speeds of up to 100 miles per hour.

(STAYTON, OR) - Police at scene of car chase near Stayton, Oregon 12-29-13 Today at about 11:00 a.m. Deputies following up on several burglary investigations in south Marion County came across a silver Honda Civic that they believed may be connected to their investigation near Jefferson.

Preliminary Post-2013 Christmas Holiday Reporting Period Statistics

More information and safety reminders about the upcoming New Year's holiday will be released in the coming days.

(PORTLAND, OR) - Police lights Based upon preliminary information confirmed with ODOT's Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS), there were no known confirmed traffic fatalities in Oregon during the 30-hour Christmas holiday reporting period that began 6:00 p.m., December 24, and ended 11:59 p.m., December 25, 2013.

Tragically, a confirmed fatality did occur Tuesday, December 24 at approximately 2:45 p.m. in Multnomah County, but it happened before the start of the reporting period.

Mr. Burwick spent 25 years in the Navy and an additional 11 years with the City of Salem as a Parking Enforcement Official, he retired in 1980.

Salem Police Investigate Fatal Accident

The driver of the motor vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

(SALEM) - Fatal pedestrial vs car in West Salem, Oregon 11=20-2013 Salem Police responded to a report of a serious motor vehicle collision involving a single vehicle striking two pedestrians in the 1900 block of Edgewater St NW last night at approximately at 9:00 p.m.

When officers arrived, one of the pedestrians was deceased at the scene. The other pedestrian was transported to Salem Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

(SALEM, Ore.) - high water A vigorous storm system will give ample rainfall and windy conditions to southwest Washington and Northwest Oregon today and Tuesday, with cool night time low temperatures later this week.

A storm off the Oregon coast this morning will produce gales over the coastal waters this afternoon and evening, as well as wind gusts to near 60 mph along the beaches and headlands, and 45 to 50 mph in coastal communities.

Survey: Owners Fear E15 Fuel May Damage Car Engines

California Air Resources Board has told the AMA that even if it approves the sale of the new E15 ethanol-gasoline blend in California, the blend wouldn't appear in the market for several years.

(WASHINGTON, DC) - E15 fuel A recent survey found that more than three-fourths of Americans fear that E15 fuel may damage car engines and fuel system components. E15 is a fuel blend of up to 15 percent ethanol and 85 percent gasoline that the federal Environmental Protection Agency has approved for use in 2001-and-newer passenger vehicles.

Ethanol is grain alcohol produced from crops such as corn that is mixed with gasoline to produce an ethanol-gasoline blend motor fuel.

I-84 Re-opened Following Commercial Truck Crash Involving Hazardous Materials Transportation East of Baker City

The injured driver, Ronald Hanes, age 61, from Sacramento, California, was picked up by a passing vehicle with four occupants that drove upon the scene.

(BAKER CITY) - Hazmat crash on I-84 in Eastern Oregon A stretch of Interstate 84 that was closed east of Baker City following a traffic crash involving a commercial truck transporting hazardous materials early Sunday morning is now open to traffic in both directions.

The truck was pulling a trailer transporting a toxic hazardous material and HazMat personnel have clean up the scene to the point allowing eastbound traffi c to resume following the earlier opening of westbound lanes.

Driver Escapes Injuries in Serious Car Fire (PHOTOS)

A blow out caused the driver to lose control, the vehicle then went between two 6" Diameter size trees hitting both, then striking some bushes, before traveling through a small parking lot.

(TANGENT) - Mini van fire in Tangent, Oregon A car fire was reported at Hwy 99E and Old Hwy 34 in Tangent Halloween night, the call came in around 7:20 p.m. according to All Dennis Weis with the Tangent Fire Dept. Investigators say this happened as a result of a blown out front tire. The problem occurred while the driver of the white mini an was heading south on Hwy 99E.
