(TUCSON) - Edwin Mieses Jr. The motorcyclists may have been reckless in NYC but the attack against the driver of a black Range Rover who ran down a number of people intentionally, was a spontaneous reaction to an arrogant, extremely dangerous hit and run motorist.

Media and the public seem to believe that the driver of a car had a right to bash cyclists with thousands of pounds of steel because he was scared, I call foul. Those motorcyclists weren't out to hurt some guy's family, that is a sensational and ridiculous assertion, and it is being repeated endlessly in electronic media and press.

Fatal Three-Vehicle Crash in Salem

Police released limited information about those involved in the crash.

(SALEM, Ore.) - The Marion County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal, three vehicle crash in the 5700 block of Silverton Road NE. Five of the six occupants involved in the crash have been transported to local hospitals with varying degrees of injury. The Sheriff's Office can confirm that one occupant involved in the crash is deceased.

Silverton Road is closed between Lardon Road NE and 64th Avenue NE while the Marion County Sheriff's Office CRASH Team conducts a forensic investigation of the crash scene. If traveling between Silverton and Salem drivers are urged to use other roadways to prevent congestion.

Stayton Woman Dies in Motor Vehicle Crash

Linn County Undersheriff Bruce Riley reports deputies are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred September 7, 2013, at about 5:46 p.m. on Jefferson-Scio Drive just east of West Scio Rd in Scio.

(Scio, Ore.) - Fatal crash Linn County Undersheriff Bruce Riley reports deputies are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred September 7, 2013, at about 5:46 p.m. on Jefferson-Scio Drive just east of West Scio Rd in Scio.

The victim was identified as Linda Sue Sinclair, 49 years old, from Stayton. The investigation reveals Sinclair was the driver and single occupant of a 1980 Toyota Celica.

Two Dead After Head-On Crash Near Stayton

Alcohol is being investigated as a possible contributing factor.

(STAYTON OR) - Fatal crash Hwy 22 Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into the cause of Tuesday evening's double fatal traffic crash involving two vehicles on Highway 22 near Stayton in Marion County.

Two others were seriously injured in the crash when the vehicles collided head-on in the eastbound lane.

Fatal Truck Accident

The incident is being investigated by the Salem Police Department's Traffic Control Unit.

(SALEM OR) - On Thursday, August 8, 2013, at 9:50 p.m., Salem Police responded to Coleman's Transport at 4370 Turner Rd SE on a report of a male being struck by a truck.

When officers arrived, they found a male identified as Gary Coleman (59 years old) deceased underneath a semi-truck/tractor in the gravel lot at that location.

Both victims were transported by REACH air ambulance to Salem Memorial Hospital.

(MONMOUTH) - Fatal crash, Monmouth, Oregon 7-29-13 A two vehicle crash on Sunday morning involving a sport motorcycle and a pickup on Highway 51 north of Independence resulted in the death of a Monmouth man.

It happened when a pick up pulled into a private driveway and went into the path of a southbound Yamaha sport motorcycle.

PETA Asks to Place Chicken Statue at Site of Deadly Truck Crash

Group Aims to Remind Haulers of Their Responsibilities When Transporting Animals as Well as the Public of the Suffering of Birds Raised and Killed for Food

(SALEM) - PETA says the 250-pound statue reminds livestock haulers to take extra precautions with their live cargo,and that chickens are among the most abused animals on the planet. This morning, PETA sent a letter to Kevin Hottmann, city traffic engineer of the City of Salem, asking him for permission to erect PETA's 5½-foot tall statue of a chicken at the intersection of Commercial and Division streets.

It is the site of a July 9 crash of a truck that was hauling more than 5,000 chickens to slaughter, which resulted in the deaths of hundreds of birds.

Salem Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash

The crash caused both vehicles to catch on fire.

(DETROIT OR) - Fatal motorcycle crash near Salem, Oregon 7-6-2013 A Salem man died when his motorcycle collided with a pickup on Brietenbush Road (Road 46) 16 miles North East of Detroit Oregon.

Marion County Deputies were called to the scene at about 6:00pm on Friday July 5th.

Upon arrival, they found that the driver of a 2009 Yamaha Motorcycle had collided with 1999 Toyota Tacoma Pickup.

Pedestrian Killed on Hwy101

There is no marked crosswalk where the victim was crossing the highway.

(YACHATS OR) - Oregon State Police (OSP) is investigating the cause of a pedestrian-involved fatal traffic crash Friday afternoon that occurred along Highway 101 approximately a half mile north of Yachats.

Police say David W. Redetzke, age 75, from Yachats, was walking across Highway 101 from where he resides on the east side to the west side when he was struck in the southbound lane by a 2002 Dodge Neon passenger car.
