NASCAR: Carl Edwards Out at Roush Fenway Racing in 2015

Edwards, 34, has competed in Sprint Cup for Roush Fenway since 2004. He has 23 wins and has finished fourth or higher in points four times.

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Carl Edwards Carl Edwards will not be a part of the Roush Fenway Racing driver lineup for 2015, according to team officials.

That roster will consist of veteran Greg Biffle and Ricky Stenhouse Jr., both of whom currently compete in Sprint Cup for RFR, as well as 2014 Nationwide Series regular Trevor Bayne.

Spokane Snaps Volcanoes Win Streak with 4-1 Victory

Entering Saturday night's contest, Thompson surrendered just one run in his past 13 innings of work.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - Salem Keizer Volcanoes Having been outscored 28-11 in the first four games, the Spokane Indians were out for revenge in the final game of the five game series.

Tallying 11 hits, Spokane scored four runs and got a solid outing from starter Derek Thompson to salvage the series with a 4-1 win.

Oregon Incoming Freshman Ariana Washington Wins Gold

The final day of the World Junior Championships will start Sunday at 3:00 p.m.

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - Ariana Washington It was an exciting day for local track and field fans who were treated to a day full of finals at the 2014 IAAF World Junior Track and Field Championships before the world’s best competed in the Run TrackTown High Performance Meet at Hayward Field.

Oregon incoming freshman Ariana Washington helped bring home a gold medal with her leg on the USA’s 4x100 relay which cruised to a win in 43.46. Washington, who finished seventh in the 100 on Wednesday, was happy to finish the meet on a high note.

NASCAR: Dillion Fights Off Busch to Win Indy Nationwide Race

Kyle Busch, Matt Kenseth, Kevin Harvick, and Joey Logano rounded out the top five.

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Ty Dillon Ty Dillon held off a charging Kyle Busch in the closing laps of the Lilly Diabetes 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but he had to win the first NASCAR Nationwide Series race of his career with a fuel cell approaching empty.

Dillon grabbed the lead from Busch, the pole winner, moments after a restart on Lap 77 of 100.

Ivey, who will begin his 12th professional season in Europe this fall, has established a new record for consecutive games played making at least one three-point field goal.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Guinness Book of World Records Jeb Ivey's outstanding shooting ability earned him a basketball scholarship to Portland State more than a decade ago.

Some 11 years after he finished his Viking career, Ivey's shooting has now earned him a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Portland State Announces Women`s Soccer Schedule

Portland State, the three-time defending Big Sky regular-season champions, will enter the 2014 season with a 13-match overall unbeaten streak.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Portland State Womens Soccer The Portland State women's soccer team has finalized its 2014 fall schedule, head coach Laura Schott announced late this week.

With the addition of Idaho to the Big Sky Conference over the summer, the Vikings will play 10 conference matches for the first time in 2014, and will add eight non-conference matches against fellow Division I opponents.

Western Oregon Football Golf Tournament Aug. 18 in Salem

All proceeds from the tournament benefit the WOU Football Association to go towards scholarships and program enhancements.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Western Oregon Wolves The Western Oregon University football team is having its 10th annual golf tournament at the Salem Golf Club on Aug. 18.

Ducks Lacrosse Announces Fall Camp

Campers will be divided into groups based on skill level.

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - Oregon Ducks Lacrosse Oregon Lacrosse’s 2014 Fall Camp will take place on August 23 at Marymoor Park in Redmond, Wash., head coach Jen Beck announced this week.

Girls entering grades 6-12 are eligible for the camp, which will be instructed by the Ducks’ coaching staff and student-athletes.

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Kevin Harvick Suddenly the ace qualifier at Stewart-Haas Racing this year, Kevin Harvick dominated Saturday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series time trials at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, winning the pole for Sunday's Crown Royal 400 in track-record speed.

Fastest in all three rounds of knockout qualifying, Harvick earned his fourth Coors Light Pole Award of the season, his second at the Brickyard and the 10th of his career.
