Gang Related Shooting in Portland Leaves One Man Injured

The Portland Police Bureau Gang Enforcement Team and Gun Task Force are continuing to actively investigate gang and gun crimes in the City of Portland.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - On Sunday, at 12:44 a.m., Portland Police North Precinct and Gang Enforcement Team officers responded to North Interstate Avenue and Killingsworth Street on the report of a shooting.

Officers arrived and located a male adult victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the buttocks. The victim was transported to a Portland hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.

Teenage Boy Drowns at Three Pools East of Salem

(LYONS, Ore. ) - As Salem-News.com was first to report just after 3:00 p.m., emergency responders and the Marion County Sheriff's office is still investigating a fatal drowning near the three pools day use area on the North Fork of the Santiam River which is located 17 miles up from Ore. Highway 22, and 45 miles east of Salem.

So far, there is little information to report, other than a young teenage boy has tragically died.

The three pools area is a very popular summer destination attracting well over 15,000 visitors each year, primarily for swimming.

Police Investigating Shooting in NE Salem

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Salem-News.com was on the scene of a shooting incident that took place Friday afternoon in northeast Salem.

A 20-year-old male was taken to Salem Hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg, and at least two people were detained by police.

They have been released and currently there are no outstanding suspect(s) at large at this time, Lt. Jim Anglemier said.

Two Arrested After Molalla Man Shot in the Leg

Through interviewing those involved, deputies located the shotgun believed to have been used in this incident, as well as a stolen rifle.

(MOLALLA, Ore. ) - A Molalla, Oregon man is expected to survive after being shot in the leg Saturday night.

Deputies say they found 44-year-old Daniel Nyberg of Molalla at a home with non-life threatening injuries to his leg.

(MYRTLE BEACH, SC) - Representative Gene DiGirolamo of Pennsylvania was quoted as saying about the prescription opioid/heroin problem in his state "People are dying all over the state of Pennsylvania -- it is a big problem and is absolutely epidemic in Pennsylvania."

Christian MPA Shot Dead in Provisional Capital

(ISLAMABAD) - Handery Masih, a Christian Member of the Baslochistan Assembly, was shot dead in Quetta on Saturday noon.

According to details, Handery’s personal security guard sprayed bullets on him outside his residence in Quetta. He was immediately shifted to the nearest hospital but unfortunately he could not survive.

Student, Gunman Dead After Multiple Shots Fired Inside Oregon High School

(TROUTDALE, Ore.) - A large number of police agencies including the FBI, are on the scene of a high school shooting at Reynolds High School in Troutdale, Oregon.

Witnesses said they could see police lead large groups of students out of the school with their hands behind their heads.

At least 20 medical personnel and a Life-Flight helicopter has landed in a nearby field.

Police now confirm that the shooter and one student are dead.

Oregon Coast Plane Crash Victims Identified

The plane went down shortly after take-off from the Newport Airport -- which is about 7 to 10 miles west -- of the crash site.

(TOLEDO, Ore. ) - A 51-year-old man from Newport and a 4-year-old girl from Seattle died Saturday afternoon when the small plane they were traveling in crashed along the Oregon Coast.

Douglas Nebert was identified by authorities as the pilot of the homebuilt RV-10, which was headed from Newport to Seattle.

(MYRTLE BEACH, SC) - Over the years I have written many articles on the profiting by paid spokespersons and foundations by the pharmaceutical industry in sparking the opioid/heroin epidemic fires throughout the U.S. and Canada.

As tens of thousands of victims of the over prescribing of opioids die or become addicted every year because of the most methodical and evil marketing of painkillers, what would happen if this epidemic became a strategy of ridicule? But maybe I'm using "ridicule" for lack of a better word -- should it be narcissism or possibly "wannabe syndrome?"
