Two Arrested After Molalla Man Shot in the Leg

Through interviewing those involved, deputies located the shotgun believed to have been used in this incident, as well as a stolen rifle.

(MOLALLA, Ore. ) - A Molalla, Oregon man is expected to survive after being shot in the leg Saturday night.

Clackamas County Sheriff's deputies and police officers from Molalla, responded to a home in the 800 block of W. Main street, an unincorporated area outside of Molalla on the report of a shooting at 9:45 p.m.

Deputies say they found 44-year-old Daniel Nyberg of Molalla with non-life threatening injuries to his leg. Nyberg was treated on scene by Molalla Fire personnel, and transported to Willamette Falls Hospital.

Based on statements from Nyberg and other witnesses, the suspect was located at a nearby residence. Through interviewing those involved, deputies located the shotgun believed to have been used in this incident, as well as a stolen rifle.

Deputies arrested 43-year-old Brian Alan Keslar, of Molalla in connection with the shooting. He was arrested and lodged at the Clackamas County jail on charges of Assault II and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

Additionally, during the course of the investigation, deputies learned the shotgun had been removed from the crime scene by 43-year-old Tina Zimmerly of Molalla. Zimmerly was arrested and lodged at the Clackamas County Jail on charges of Theft I and Tampering with Evidence.
