11 Men Arrested in Undercover Sex Trafficking Mission in Early December

The men responded to an undercover online ad.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - sex trafficking During the week of December 5 to December 10, 2016, the Portland Police Bureau's Sex Trafficking Unit conducted an undercover mission to address online sex trafficking.

Investigators posted online ads on known sex trafficking websites. 11 men contacted undercover police officers to arrange payment for sexual acts.

Portland Police Arrest Over 100 in Protests

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - vandalize portland Over the past several days, the Portland Police Bureau has arrested in excess of 100 people for violating laws including Disorderly Conduct, Interfering with a Peace Officer, Attempted Assault on a Peace Officer and other criminal charges.

Those taken into custody for charges other than those related to the shooting on the Morrison Bridge (early Saturday morning) had their first court appearance Monday at the Justice Center at 2:00 p.m.

Traffic Stop Leads to Three Arrests, Seizure of Meth, Heroin and a Gun

Three men were arrested at the scene.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - drug dog K-9 A "traffic" stop turned into much more than an infraction for the driver and occupants. Drugs and Vice Division (DVD) officers conducted a traffic stop on Southeast Stark Street at I-205 on Tuesday about 4:45 p.m. During the stop, officers gained consent of the occupants to search the vehicle.

Narcotics K-9 "Lola" was used to search the vehicle and located approximately five (5) pounds of methamphetamine and one (1) pound of heroin in a backpack in the trunk of the vehicle.

One Man Injured in Shooting at Cinco de Mayo Festival in Downtown Portland

It does not appear that the shooting is related to the event.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - police line The 19-year-old male victim was involved in a dispute with the suspect before the shooting, which occurred along the seawall, just North of the Morrison Bridge.

Investigators have now identified a 20-year-old male detained at the Rose Quarter Transit Station as the suspect in the shooting. He was arrested and transported away from the scene as the investigation continues.

142nd Fighter Wing to Conduct Night Flying

Training flights will be completed each evening before 10:00 p.m.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Oregon F-15 The Oregon Air National Guard's 142nd Fighter Wing will conduct routine F-15 night flying training missions January 26-29.

The night training allows the Citizen-Airmen pilots based at the Portland Air National Guard Base to stay current with mandatory Air Force requirements.

Night flying is conducted almost monthly as it provides essential training for nighttime maneuvers.

Portland Police Asking for Public`s Help Locating Missing Man

It is possible the missing man may appear confused or disorientated.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Charles Edward Johnson The Milwaukie Police Department, in coordination with Portland Police, is asking the public for help in locating 70-year-old Charles Edward Johnson, a Portland resident, who was last seen at Providence Milwaukie Hospital on August 2, at 10:20 a.m.

Portland police say that Johnson left the hospital, and has not returned to his southeast Portland residence.

Four People from Portland Killed in Crash

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

(SANDY, Ore. ) - Death Investigation Four people from Portland were killed early Monday morning in a single vehicle accident in rural Clackamas County.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office identified those killed as the driver; 31-year-old Brandon Mayo, and his three passengers; 20-year-old Shalene Newland, 20-year-old Jesse Jasso-Varsamas, and 39-year-old Suzanne Marie Varsamas.

Portland State Women`s Soccer Picked to Win Big Sky Title

Portland State opens its non-conference schedule Friday, Aug. 22, when they host Utah Valley.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Portland State Soccer Big Sky coaches tabbed the Portland State women's soccer team as narrow favorites over Weber State to win the conference in the Big Sky's annual preseason coaches' poll.

The Vikings picked up 93 points in the poll, one point more than Weber State (92). Both teams received five first-place votes in the poll, after the teams split the Big Sky titles last season.
