Victim Identified in Fatal Wreck on Highway 213

20-year old Fregoso Navarro of Molalla, Oregon, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - Fatal crash investigation Police say a 20-year old Molalla woman died Friday morning when she lost control of her car on Highway 213 about 1/4 mile south of South Kropf Road and was struck broadside by a van.

Sergeant Dan Swift with Oregon State Police says that today at approximately 11:00 AM, a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt two-door driven by 20-year old Rocio Fregoso Navarro of Molalla, was southbound on Highway 213 near milepost 23 negotiating a right curve when it lost control.

One Person Dies in Crash on Highway 213

Expect delays on Oregon Highway 213 or use alternate routes.

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - Fatal crash Oregon State Police say a fatal accident has closed Oregon 213 near mile post 23. Highway 213 is notorious for fatal crashes and injury accidents.

Police report two vehicles were involved in this crash that left one person dead. The highway may be closed for several hours while police investigate.

Family Members Find Fatal Crash Scene South of Oregon City

Highway 213 was closed until about 11:00 AM.

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - Fatal crash investigation A Molalla-area man died early Friday morning in a single vehicle crash on Highway 213. Police say it happened about 1/4 mile north of Spangler Road south of Oregon City. The victim was found by family members after he failed to arrive at work this morning.

Investigators say that around 8:00 AM, the victim's red 1997 Chevrolet Blazer was found about 35 feet off Highway 213 near milepost 8 in a creek. The lone occupant, 26-year old Mark Lester Salvetti of Molalla, reportedly left for work in Oregon City about 4:30 AM and failed to arrive.

One Dead in Fathers Day Crash South of Molalla

Alcohol is a possible contributing factor in this fatal crash.

(MOLALLA, Ore. ) - osp molalla crash One person died Sunday evening after losing control of the sport utility vehicle he was driving on Highway 213 south of Molalla and crashing into a power pole.

The pole was split and the vehicle came to rest on its top off the highway.

At approximately 8:30 PM a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Salvador Compean, age 51, from Scotts Mills, was southbound on Highway 213 at a high rate of speed near Wagon Wheel Road when it left the highway and struck a power pole.

Racial Attack in Molalla Leaves One Man in Jail and Police Looking for Others

The attack appears to have been motivated by racist behavior and alcohol.

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - 18-year old Austin Wright Greenwood of Oregon City An 18-year-old Oregon City man is in Clackamas County Jail after allegedly assaulting a Hispanic male with a rock in an apparent act of racism. Police are looking for other suspects in the attack.

A Clackamas County Sheriff's Deputy responded to the 28000 block of S. Hwy. 213 in Molalla over a disturbance at the Wagon Wheel Park, Thursday at approximately 10:46 PM.

Two More Teens Arrested in Molalla Sex Abuse Investigation

The two boys face a long list of charges.

(MOLALLA, Ore. ) - handcuffs photo Oregon State Police detectives took into custody an 18-year old male senior and a 17-year old male junior Wednesday afternoon at Molalla High School related to a criminal investigation into alleged sexual misconduct involving some members of the boy's high school basketball team during a December 2006 road trip.

Wednesday's arrests follow April 26th's arrest of a 17-year old male juvenile on similar charges.

Oregon State Police Detectives Arrest Molalla Juvenile in Sex Abuse Investigation

The juvenile was transported to Donald E. Long Home detention facility in Portland where he will be detained pending juvenile court proceedings.

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - Jail cell Oregon State Police arrested a 17-year old Molalla-area boy Thursday afternoon for a number of sex abuse charges.

OSP Spokesman Greg Hastings says the arrest relates to a criminal investigation of alleged sexual misconduct involving some members of the boy's high school basketball team during a December 2006 road trip.

Thursday at approximately 12:12 PM, OSP detectives and a trooper arrested the juvenile suspect at Molalla High School.

Police Recovering Body From Molalla River

(MOLALLA, Ore. ) - death investigation photo The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is investigating the reported discovery of a human body submerged in the Molalla River; between S Adams Cemetery Road and S Dickey Prairie Road, in Molalla.

At 6:30 PM Thursday evening, a local resident in the area reported to Sheriff's witnessing what appeared to be a mannequin or human body submerged in the Molalla River.

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office personnel responded to the scene – in the general vicinity of 34415 S Molalla Forrest Road, in the Molalla River.

Oregon Christmas Trees Heading For Troops Just Back From Iraq

Operation Thank You began four years ago as a way to say thanks and to support troops and their families.

(MOLALLA) - photo: The load of 1,100 Douglas fir trees will depart Molalla on Sunday, and arrive at Fort Hood on Saturday, Dec. 2nd as part of Operation Thank You 2006. A semi-truck-load of Christmas trees bound for soldiers and their families based at Fort Hood, Texas, will be loaded Sunday morning at a Yule Tree Farms in Molalla.

Operation Thank You 2006 marks the fourth year that the Christmas Tree Chapter of the Oregon Association of Nurseries has coordinated the donation of trees and stands and their delivery to Fort Hood, which is a hub for soldiers fighting the war in Iraq.

The load of 1,100 Douglas fir trees will depart Molalla on Sunday, and arrive at Fort Hood on Saturday, Dec. 2nd.

17 Horses Seized From Molalla Residence

(Molalla) - Virginia Winter Clackamas County deputies seized 17 horses from a residence in Molalla Wednesday, after serving a search warrant at 37390 S. Appleman Rd. This is the same residence where an 8-month-old horse was seized during the execution of a search warrant in February 2005. The deputies were assisted by members of the Oregon Humane Society and several volunteers.
