Courtney Welling Finishes in Top 30 at CCC Meet

Sophomore Karlee Coffey of Eastern Oregon won the individual title with a time of 18:34.67.

(Klamath Falls, Oregon) - Corban Warriors Junior Courtney Welling (Springfield, Oregon) finished in the top 30 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships for women’s cross country hosted by Oregon Tech Saturday at Steen Sports Park.

Welling was the fastest individual Warrior runner on the 5k course after finishing in 20:31.77. Warrior freshman Christi Schmitz (North Pole, Alaska) also ran her way into the top 40 runners in crossing the finish line with a 21:09.91.

Adrian Places in the Top 25 at CCC Finals

(Klamath Falls, Oregon) - Corban Warriors Sophomore Taylor Adrian (Portland, Oregon) ran his way to a top 25 finish to lead the Warriors men’s cross country team to a sixth place in the final standings at the Cascade Collegiate Conference championships in hosted by Oregon Tech at Steen Sports Park.

Taylor placed 22nd overall thanks to a final effort where he edged out College of Idaho runner Alex Goold by a mere .04 seconds. Taylor finished the 8K course in 27:18.84.

Oregon Air National Guard to Take Part in Veterans Day Flyovers Around the State

(SALEM, Oregon) - 173d Fighter Wing F-15 The Oregon Air National Guard will conduct Veterans Day flyovers for various ceremonies at locations throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.

F-15 Eagle fighter jets from the 142nd Fighter Wing in Portland and the 173rd Fighter Wing at Kingsley Field are scheduled to conduct flyovers at the following locations and approximate times:

All passes will be approximately 1,000 feet above ground level and 350 knots airspeed. Flights could be cancelled or times changed due to inclement weather or operational contingencies.

Land Leads Corban to Sweep on Senior Night

(SALEM, Ore.) - Go Warriors Go On Senior Recognition Night, junior Tiffany Land (Independence, Ore.) shined one year too soon thanks to a match-high 12 kills in Corban's women's volleyball's sweep over the visiting Hustlin' Owls of Oregon Tech Saturday inside the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center.

In its final home match of the season, Corban systematically broke down Oregon Tech's defense for a straight set victory (25-23, 25-20, 25-23) with Land, sophomore Chandra Baskoro (Gresham, Ore.), and freshman Bailey Wold (Spokane, Wash.) combining for 30 kills. The Warriors secured their fourth straight season with at least 10 wins improving to 10-9 overall and 8-9 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play. Meanwhile, Oregon Tech falls to 11-17 overall and 3-13 in league matches.

Rocky Point Area Man Dies in Single Vehicle Crash (PHOTOS)

The crash happened on Highway 140W near Lake of the Woods.

(KLAMATH FALLS) - Police say an 82-year old man died Saturday afternoon when he lost control of his vehicle on Highway 140W in the Lake of the Woods Safety Corridor and crashed into a large tree.

OSP Sergeant Robert Fenner, says 82-year old Joe Lenox Ston of ethe Rocky Point area, west of Klamath Falls, was driving eastbound on Highway 140W near milepost 47, when he lost control of the vehicle on icy conditions and drove off the highway and rolled before striking a large tree.

Klamath County Deputy`s Patrol Car Struck at Highway 97 Detour

The no-injury crash was investigated by the Oregon State Police.

(KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.) - Klamath Falls police car crash 7-19-09 A Klamath County Sheriff's Office patrol vehicle was struck by a commercial vehicle trailer Sunday afternoon while parked assisting at the scene of a previous traffic crash.

Sunday around 12:50 p.m. a KCSO Ford Crown Victoria patrol car was parked with its emergency lights activated on Highway 97 facing north just south of Algoma Road.

Six People Injured in Single Vehicle Crash Near Klamath Falls (PHOTOS)

Oregon State Police troopers say speed and alcohol are suspected to be contributing factors in the crash.

(KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.) - Crash near Klamath Falls, Oregon 6-22-09 A Klamath Falls woman was seriously injured and several other people were also hurt in a single vehicle rollover crash that happened today just after 3:00 p.m. on Highway 66.

Oregon State Police Sgt. Robert Fenner says the crash happened when a 1996 Ford Explorer driven by 23-year old Melissa Green of Klamath Falls, was westbound on Highway 66 near milepost 44, about six miles west of Keno, Oregon.
