(KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.) - A Klamath Falls woman was seriously injured and several other people were also hurt in a single vehicle rollover crash that happened today just after 3:00 p.m. on Highway 66. Oregon State Police Sgt. Robert Fenner says the crash happened when a 1996 Ford Explorer driven by 23-year old Melissa Green of Klamath Falls, was westbound on Highway 66 near milepost 44, about six miles west of Keno, Oregon. "Green lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve and the vehicle left the roadway rolling several times before coming to rest on its top," Fenner said. "In addition to Green, the vehicle was also occupied by 20-year old Tiffany Cook of Klamath Falls, 26-year old Erin Martin of Klamath Falls, and three juveniles." Fenner says all six occupants were transported to Sky Lakes Medical Center. Green was admitted with serious injuries. After being admitted Green was transferred to Rogue Valley Medical Center via Life Flight. "All the other occupants are being treated at Sky Lakes Medical Center and their condition is unknown. All occupants except for one of the juveniles were wearing safety belts at the time of the crash." He says the investigation is continuing, adding that speed and alcohol are suspected to be contributing factors in the crash. Fenner says OSP Personnel were assisted at the scene by Keno Fire Department, Klamath County Fire District 4, and Klamath County Fire District I.
