Farrah Fawcett Dies at 62 After Losing Battle to Cancer

For Americans growing up in the 1970's, Farrah Fawcett was best known as the girl in the red one-piece swimsuit who adorned the walls of adolescent bedrooms from one end of the nation to the other.

(LOS ANGELES) - Farrah Fawcett in the mid-70's After a long battle with cancer, American icon and sex symbol Farrah Fawcett passed away today, June 25th 2009, at approximately at 9:28 a.m. at the age of 62. Reports indicate that she was in the intensive care unit at Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, California, with her former husband and lifetime friend Ryan O'Neal, and her friend, Producer Alana Stewart.

James Fawcett, Farrah's 91-year old father, also flew to Los Angeles to visit his only living child. Farrah's only sibling, her sister Diane, died from lung cancer in 2001.

(MALIBU) - Malibu beachgoer throws sand in the face of a visiting paparazzi After watching the video closely, I'm fairly convinced that the so-called local surfers in Malibu who attacked a Paparazzi crew last June, are a creepy expression of an American mindset that thinks it can randomly activate the "fascist" button and pretend like they live above the Civil Rights of others.

The Paparazzi are a component of American society driven by a mindless occupation with the private lives of celebrities. It isn't always pretty but it is generally legal.

Suicide in Bangkok: Actor David Carradine Dead at 72

He will probably best be remembered for his role as Kwai Chang Caine in the 1970s television series Kung Fu.

(SALEM, Ore.) - David Carradine in 2005 American actor David Carradine was found dead in his Bangkok motel room yesterday. He had been staying at the Swissotel Nai Lert Park Hotel on Wireless Road, near Sukhumvit, in central Bangkok, Thailand.

Oregon radio stations are reporting that David Carradine died in China, which is not accurate. Thai authorities say that according to the initial police report, David Carradine committed suicide by hanging himself.

Patrick Swayze Battles Pancreatic Cancer as the World Watches and Prays

As one of the nation's top actors remains very sick with terminal pancreatic cancer, Patrick Swayze's fans continue to express their feelings about him in our story comments.

Patrick Swayze Gravely Ill But Very Much Alive

One source reports that Swayze has been undergoing pioneering Cyberknife radiotherapy at California's Stanford University Medical Centre, and had been making a steady recovery from the illness.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Friends, family and fans of actor Patrick Swayze, are holding back tears over the news that the cancer he has been battling, has spread to his liver.
