(SALEM) - Salem flooding The city of Salem is no stranger to flooding, and residents particularly along the city's rivers, creeks and streams are taking precautionary measures to prevent damage from accumulated high waters.

All Salem Urban streams remain remain below their action levels. Willamette River reached action level overnight but all roads remain open.

The property owner, Dennis Boettcher, is a disabled Vietnam Veteran. He was kind enough to talk about the loss from a fire that developed when he was picking his wife Joyce up at the Portland airport.

VIDEO: Salem Water Rescue Leads to Safe Recovery

The woman was accompanied by three other kayakers when her problems began shortly after 1:00 p.m.

Survivor Recounts Rescue from Flooded Willamette River Bank

Fortunately, the victim had a cell phone that allowed her to notify 911.

(SALEM) - Salem flood victims being rescued Water Rescue crews from Salem Fire and other local agencies had their hands full today when a call came in from several victims trapped by rising flood waters on the Willamette River.

The Willamette River crested today at 28.5". The woman in the video below, relates her story of being caught by rising river flood waters that left her no escape route.

Car Washes under Flooded Albany Intersection, at Least One Child Missing

Rescue crews will re initiate their mission to recover victims from the vehicle in the morning.

(ALBANY) - Rescue vehicle lights Fire officials in Albany had the sad task of searching for missing children after a vehicle was washed out of a grocery store parking lot, into a creek swollen by heavy rains, and under the intersection of SE Geary St & Queen Ave SE.

Wanda Omdahl with Albany Fire, says rescue crews responded to the scene and one adult and one child were pulled out of the water on the other side of the bridge.

(SALEM) - Fire at Salem's Club Illusion Salem Fire and Police spent their morning battling a serious structure fire at Club Illusion in North Salem. They will remain on scene for several more hours. The public is asked to avoid that area if at all possible.

Due to the weather and road conditions, the public is asked to take extreme caution if traveling through the area where public safety personnel are working. The structure, Club Illusion, was fully involved when crews rolled onto the scene.

Take extra caution when driving, one series of crashes on Highway 22 west of Salem involved an Oregon State Police car and several other vehicles. As the report below indicates, road and freeway closures are already taking place.

Multi-Alarm Residential Fire in Stayton

Units are on the scene of a second-alarm fire in the 900 block of Birch St. in Stayton.

(STAYTON, Ore.) - Salem-News.com A residential fire in Stayton that left a residence substantially damaged, drew response from additional units with Marion County Fire, as well as both the Jefferson and Turner Fire Districts.

After arriving at the location, Jerry determined that in spite of significant damage, there were no injuries related to this particular incident.

Several Victims Transported From Salem Apartment Fire

At least three people have been transported from the scene of a fire in NE Salem.

(SALEM) - Fire at Salem, Oregon apartment 12-16-11 Salem fire crews are on the scene of an apartment fire in NE Salem that involves multiple victims. The blaze broke out sometime after midnight.

The fire swept through an apartment complex in the 3400 block of Hadley Street NE.

Local News: : 2-Alarm Keizer Fire Leaves Family of Eight Homeless

The family of eight; Dad, Mom, and six children, ranged in age from 7 to 18 years old.

(KEIZER, Ore.) - Salem-News.com A family in Keizer was forced to evacuate their home late in the night when the unknown odor in the home grew to the point- smoke drove them from the house. Keizer Police and Firefighters arrived to find a fully involved garage fire that extended into the house and burned to the second floor attic.

The calls to 911 began at 00:12:55 a.m. (12 minutes after midnight) and a Keizer Police Patrol unit arrived 4 minutes later and reported the house fully involved in fire.
