Or did they, could they also pick out native flora and fauna from imported, non-indigenous ones?

City of Salem Condemns Protesters` Actions at Oregon State Capitol

Armed "protesters" used force to try to stop the Legislature’s special session.

(SALEM, Ore.) - far right protesters Monday morning, armed individuals attempted to disrupt the Oregon Legislature’s special session by taking over the State Capitol building. The Oregon State Police and Salem Police removed the individuals. Salem Police maintained order outside the building.

“During recent protests, speech has occurred that is racist and offensive. We condemn and reject racist speech that spews hatred and vile. There is no place for hate in Salem, and the City will act to protect residents from actions that threaten their safety.” -Mayor Bennett and Salem City Council President Chris Hoy

21 More COVID Deaths in Oregon Yesterday

As of 12:01 a.m. today, Oregon reports 1,339 new confirmed and presumptive COVID-19 cases, 21 new deaths

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - dead flowers The number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 551, which is three fewer than yesterday. There are 113 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit (ICU) beds, which is unchanged from yesterday.

The total number of patients in hospital beds may fluctuate between report times. Staffing limitations are not captured in this data and may further limit bed capacity.

First Doses of COVID-19 Vaccine Arrive in Oregon

Oregon kicks off massive immunization campaign as health facilities begin receiving new Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - vaccine The first COVID-19 vaccine doses have arrived in Oregon. The first three weeks of the operation, which starts Dec. 21, will see 22,425 vaccine doses going to skilled nursing facilities and 80,000 doses headed to assisted living facilities.

Essential workers, followed by people with underlying health conditions and those older than 65 are next in line.

Oregon Reports 10 More Deaths Due to COVID-19 and 1,099 New Cases

Oregon sets pandemic records as 2-week "Stay at Home" order goes into affect.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - COVID-19 The number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients across Oregon rose to 406 today, marking a new record for the pandemic. The largest increase was in the Portland metropolitan area, and in the Willamette Valley, and in Jackson and Josephine counties.

There are 94 COVID-19 patients in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds, two fewer than yesterday.

Man Suffers Self-Inflicted Gun Shot Wound in Downtown Dallas

(DALLAS, Ore.) - shooting investigation Dallas Police officer Jordan Schrock responded to a 911 call found an adult male with a gun shot wound outside a downtown business in the SE 100 Block of Court Street. The individual was alive. Dallas Fire & EMS responded also and transported the male to an area hospital.

The preliminary investigation indicates the gunshot injury was self-inflicted.
