31 Percent Increase in Oregon COVID Cases

Oregon reports 239 new confirmed and presumptive COVID-19 cases, 3 new deaths

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - COVID-19 The Oregon Health Authority’s COVID-19 Weekly Report, released today, shows increased daily cases and declines in hospitalizations and deaths in comparison to the previous week.

OHA reported 2,272 new daily cases of COVID-19 during the week of Monday, March 8 through Sunday, March 14. That represents a 31% increase over the previous week.

Oregon Hits Milestone: 1 Million Doses of COVID-19 Vaccine Administered

OHA encourages all Oregonians to keep taking protective measures to help keep themselves & others well.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - COVID-19 Today, OHA recorded more than 1 million vaccines administered to Oregonians. There were 22,346 doses recorded yesterday, bringing the total number of doses administered in the state to 1,019,767.

Approximately, one in five Oregonians who likely are eligible have received at least one dose.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - COVID-19 Oregon There are 54 new COVID-19 related deaths in Oregon, raising the state's death toll to 1,667, the Oregon Health Authority reported at 12:01 a.m. today. The high number of deaths serves as a reminder that the pandemic continues to pose a threat to our friends, neighbors, co-workers and communities.

The rising case count that surged in November and December is one factor attributed to today's record-tying high death count.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem Oregon arrests On Friday, January 1, 2021, two groups with opposing ideologies scheduled protests in Salem in separate locations. The event at the Oregon State Capitol was organized by Oregon Women for Trump and was heavily attended by affiliates of the Proud Boys.

Many of the attendees at the state capitol were armed with various weapons, knives, chemical sprays, batons and firearms.

There are 515 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in Oregon

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - COVID-19 COVID-19 has claimed six more lives in Oregon, raising the state’s death toll to 1,433, the Oregon Health Authority reported today.

The OHA also reported 865 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 110,545.
