Marion County Traffic Safety Team Deputies Investigate Head-On Crash

UPDATE: Following the investigation by the MCSO Traffic Safety Team, Ian Beyers was charged with driving while Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Reckless Driving, and Assault 3.

(SALEM, Ore.) - wrecked 96 sentra A head-on motor vehicle crash sent one driver to the hospital by helicopter earlier this evening. Marion County Deputies responded to a call received at 5:07 p.m. and located the crash in the 18000 block of Fobert Road NE, between Hubbard and Aurora.

Serious Single Vehicle DUII Crash in Eugene - Springfield Area

A vehicle driven by a Eugene man drifted off the right shoulder, traveled back across the southbound lanes and struck the center concrete barrier where it rolled several times.

(EUGENE, Ore.) - Wrecked GMC Jimmy A Eugene man was seriously injured early Monday morning in a single vehicle rollover crash in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 in the Eugene/Springfield area.

Wilsonville DUII Crash Injures Two

(WILSONVILLE, Ore.) - 2006 Nissan 350Z on SW Ellingsen Road near Wilsonville Late Wednesday night an Estacada man was driving his 2006 Nissan 350Z on SW Ellingsen Road near Wilsonville. The Driver, 24-year old Steven Decious, failed to negotiate a curve in the road and rolled his vehicle injuring himself and his passenger.

At 11:25pm on Wednesday, Washington County Deputies were dispatched to SW Ellingsen Road near Wilsonville for a single vehicle crash. Upon arrival, deputies found the 2006 Nissan in a field on the vehicles roof.

Initial tests indicate that Parson's blood alcohol level was approximately .227

(SALEM, Oregon) - wrecked chevrolet cavalier Police arrested an off-duty Marion County deputy on DUII charges after a crash that left a man trapped in his wrecked vehicle, requiring extrication.

Initial tests indicate that 61-year old Dennis Parson's blood alcohol level was approximately .227; nearly three times the legal blood alcohol limit.

Sandy Man Arrested Following Crash Into Power Pole on Highway 26 Near Welches

(WELCHES, Ore.) - single vehicle pickup truck crash A Sandy-area man was arrested Monday on several charges after the pickup he was driving on Highway 26 in the Welches area crashed through a guardrail and struck a power pole causing power lines to drop onto the highway leading to a one hour closure.

According to Oregon State Police (OSP) Trooper Tyler Bechtel, on October 18, 2010 at approximately 4:50 p.m. a 2006 Ford F150 pickup driven by Ronald Lewis Underwood, age 45, from Sandy, was eastbound on Highway 26 near milepost 39 in the right hand lane.

Salem ODOT Worker Injured When Car Careens Through Construction Zone

Alcohol consumption by the 17 year old driver appears to be a major contributing factor

(SALEM, Oregon) - Wrecked Honda Accord Shortly after 9:00 PM September 29th, an ODOT worker suffered serious, but not life threatening, injuries when a 1999 Honda Accord driven by a 17 year old male from Salem lost control and drove into a road construction project. The worker, 46 year old Philip Lane of Corvallis, was standing on the side of the roadway on Kuebler Blvd by I-5 when he was struck by the westbound car. After the vehicle struck Lane, it continued until it struck the rear of a street sweeper, causing substantial damage.

17 Million Americans Drive Drunk Annually

To warn motorists about the dangers of drunken driving, the US government is spending about $13 million for an advertising campaign to publicize increased enforcement through the upcoming September 6 Labor Day weekend.

(TEHRAN Press TV) - Drunk driving A US government study says nearly 17 million Americans have driven a vehicle while drunk at least once within a year.

According to a 2008 survey conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), an estimated eight percent of all drivers, or 17.2 million people had driven a vehicle at least once even though they knew they were drunk.
