Wilsonville DUII Crash Injures Two

(WILSONVILLE, Ore.) - Late Wednesday night an Estacada man was driving his 2006 Nissan 350Z on SW Ellingsen Road near Wilsonville. The Driver, 24-year old Steven Decious, failed to negotiate a curve in the road and rolled his vehicle injuring himself and his passenger.

At 11:25pm on Wednesday, Washington County Deputies were dispatched to SW Ellingsen Road near Wilsonville for a single vehicle crash. Upon arrival, deputies found the 2006 Nissan in a field on the vehicles roof.

The Nissan appeared to have rolled several times. The driver Steven Decious sustained a serious head injury because of the crash.

The passenger 24-year old James Pope of Milwaukie received a broken leg in the crash. Mr. Pope told the investigating deputy that he thought: “I’m going to die,” when the vehicle left the road and rolled. Both occupants of the vehicle were transported to OHSU. Mr. Decious’s blood alcohol level at the hospital was .16, twice the legal limit.

No arrests or citations were issued at the scene. Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident and Mr. Decious faces charges of DUII, Reckless Driving, and Assault.
