(SALEM) - The controversial political leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-il, died yesterday. He was the supreme Leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. In April 2009, North Korea's constitution was changed and the leader's title was implicitly deemed the "Supreme Leader".

As the commander of the 4th largest army in the world, Kim Jon-il has been nothing less than a controversial figure in his lifetime.

This struck me as odd for two reasons: First, it is disingenuous and misleading. The actual position taken by these Republican presidential candidates is that all foreign aid should initially start at zero as means of reducing the deficit, to be immediately followed by the resumption of aid on a case-by-case basis.

A fisherman is shot by the Israeli Navy without cause off the coast of occupied Gaza City.

(GAZA) - A 45-year old fisherman was rushed to the hospital for treatment after medical sources say he was shot in the leg today. His condition is stable now.

The Israeli occupation forces have recently increased prosecution against fishermen in the Sea of Gaza Strip. They have developed a new large buoy system only 3 miles from the shore in order to oversee the occupied people of Gaza.

Sensitive Documents in Haditha Massacre Found in Baghdad Junkyard

(SALEM) - Sensitive documents detailing the alleged massacre of 24 Iraqi civilians by Marines at Haditha, Iraq, that happened just over six years ago, were recently discovered in a trailer parked in a Baghdad junkyard, by a New York Times reporter.

Reams of documents were being burned by an Iraqi as fuel to cook a dinner of smoked carp. In its recent departure from Iraq, U.S. forces apparently failed to destroy some of the most sensitive documents imaginable.
