Global March Places Focus on Israeli Violence in Gaza, West Bank

Activists in the Bethlehem area, the birthplace of Jesus, are planning a number of functions including functions that challenge the occupation and others that educate tourists.

(BETHLEHEM) - Jerusalem With some other activist Palestinian friends, I took two days to go to Amman to attend a conference for the Global March to Jerusalem. We met great people from around the world including Palestinians in exile. But every time we leave Palestine even for a very short time we feel like a fish out of the water.

We missed the funeral of Mustafa Tamimi, murdered with a tear-gas canister at a demonstration in Nabi Saleh. We missed the notice given yesterday of the demolition of a home in Beit Jala (near my village) and thus the actual demolition this morning.

Marine`s Homicide Rejected by `Scientific Journals`

Convincing evidence in a scientific paper by two forensic experts of the murder of Colonel James E. Sabow rejected by leading forensic journals.

(SALEM) - Col. Jim Sabow helped implement the Marine Corps AV8 Harrier program which continues to this day. The difference between homicide and suicide can sometimes be a close call, requiring extensive pathological review and crime scene reconstruction.

Abolish the Death Penalty, Replace With Life Without Parole

Imposing the death penalty is much more expensive than imposing a sentence of life without parole, because the Constitution requires a long and complex judicial process for death penalty cases.

(SAN FRANCISCO) - Historical poster by Peg Averill. The death penalty should be abolished in the United States because life without parole is more humane, less discriminatory, and a less costly alternative – and it avoids the risk of executing an innocent person.

Thirty-four states impose the death penalty, including California, Oregon, and Washington, and there are 41 Federal capital crimes for which the death penalty can be applied.
