Natural Gas Explosion Injures 4 Canby FirefightersSalem-news.comA firefighter noticed a quick spike in the gas levels on the portable gas monitor, then seconds later Firefighter John Stanislaw heard the furnace come on. "Then the room exploded." (CANBY, Ore.) - A natural gas explosion at a Canby home could have been tragic Thursday as one firefighter was blown 80 feet into the street during a major explosion. According to police, it appears that about 4:45 PM, a Canby police car turned from South End Road onto Southbound SR 99E, and collided with a 1995 Toyota Camry. The Camry was driven by an adult female from Tualatin, who was taken to Oregon Health Sciences University with serious, but not life threatening, injuries. |
