5-Year Old Girl Rescued From Burning Motorhome after Fatal Crash

Oregon State Trooper encounters motorhome in flames, that took two lives.

(LINN COUNTY, Ore.) - The trooper discovered that a motorhome had struck the back of a parked commercial truck and trailer. As the trooper approached the crash, two witnesses from the rest area were running to provide assistance.

The trooper yelled into the wreckage and a 5 year old female cried for help. As the motorhome was on fire, the trooper used his fire extinguisher to knock down the flames.

MCSO Deputies Investigating Deadly Crash in North Marion County

Tragic crash on St. Paul Highway

(MARION COUNTY, Ore.) - Today at about 11:30 am, Marion County Sheriff's Deputies were called to investigate a serious motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Arbor Grove Road NE and St. Paul Highway.

Investigators with the MCSO Crash Team have concluded that the passenger car was driving south on Arbor Grove Road NE when the driver crashed his silver Mazda 3 through a stop sign and the car slid underneath a semi-truck and trailer that was traveling westbound on St. Paul Highway.

(TILLAMOOK COUNTY, Ore.) - One lane of OR 131 two miles east of Oceanside in Tillamook County is now open to travelers.

The road was closed over the weekend when a sink hole developed caused by a failed culvert. Starting this morning, flaggers will control two-way traffic 24/7.

Salem Police Responded to Serious Hit & Run Accident

(SALEM, Ore.) - Just after 10:00 p.m. Thursday, the Salem Police Department responded to a serious hit and run accident at Portland Rd NE and Hyacinth St.

According to witnesses, a black 2007 Chrysler 300 was southbound on Portland Rd. when a silver 2000 BMW northbound on Portland Rd. turned left into the path of the Chrysler, causing a t-bone accident.

Man Dies While Attempting to Chain-up near North Powder

A truck driver was hit by a sliding car while he was outside putting on chains.

(BAKER, Ore.) - On January 31, 2016 at 8:30 AM a fatal crash occurred on I-84 Westbound near milepost (MP) 281 near North Powder.

The preliminary investigation indicated 50-year old Igor S. Nikolaychuk, from Vancouver, Washington was outside his semi-tractor/trailer in the process of chaining up near the left rear axle of the trailer.

At 10:58 a.m. PT the National Weather Service observing equipment indicated a line of severe thunderstorms producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. These storms were located along a line extending from 7 miles south of Monmouth to near Creswell and moving northeast at 45 mph.

Winter Weather Advisory Alert for Snow in Willamette Valley

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - The National Weather Service in Portland has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for valley areas for a mix of snow and sleet and freezing rain, in effect from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

This system will spread light to briefly moderate precipitation across western Oregon Sunday morning, likely before temperatures have a chance to recover from a chilly night in the 20's.

Stayton Teen in Critical Condition After Late Night Crash

Deputies believe speed was the only contributing factor to this crash.

(STAYTON, Ore.) - A car crashed outside of Stayton about 1:30 a.m. on Fernridge Road SE and Siegmund Road SE. When Deputies arrived they found a Nissan passenger car torn into two pieces.

The driver who was pinned inside of the vehicle was extricated by firefighters and transported immediately to Stayton Memorial Hospital and later flown to OHSU.

Triple Fatal Collision Involving Train and SUV South of Union

All three occupants, as well as a dog, were ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.

(UNION COUNTY, Ore.) - Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into Tuesday afternoon's fatal collision involving a train and SUV south of Union in Union County.

Preliminary information indicates that on December 29, 2015 at approximately 2:54 p.m., a Union Pacific Railroad train was traveling eastbound and approaching the Curtis Road and Miller Lane crossing when for unknown reasons, a blue Jeep Cherokee was traveling east on Curtis Road and turned left onto Miller Lane, in the path of the train.
