With two outs and runners on second and third, Elvin Soto deposited the first pitch he saw into the right-center gap, just out of the reach of a diving Shilo McCall for the 2-1 victory.

Former Oregon Football Stars Coming Home for Events

The Regional Sports Center at 200 S. 32nd St. in Springfield will host an event this Saturday called “Dixon 2 Dickson Quacks Give Back.”

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - Oregon Ducks Football Several alumni of the Oregon football program will be back in the Willamette Valley this month to participate in community outreach.

Former UO quarterback Dennis Dixon and tight end Ed Dickson are among the biggest names scheduled to appear this Saturday at a fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Emerald Valley, and at a youth camp next weekend in Clackamas organized by a UO football alumni organization.

Oregon State Releases Women`s Soccer Schedule

The Beavers will be featured on the Pac-12 Networks for the first time in 2014 when they host Saint Mary’s at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 31.

(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) - Oregon State Women’s Soccer Nine games against NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago, seven televised matches on the Pac-12 Networks and road trips to Texas and Florida highlight the 2014 Oregon State women’s soccer schedule as announced by head coach Linus Rhode.

The 2014 schedule includes 20 matches with four of them against teams that finished in the top 25 in last season’s final NSCAA Coaches poll.

Volcanoes Rally to Win Third Straight

After taking the series opener, the Volcanoes will look to clinch their first series victory of the season when the teams reconvene on Thursday evening.

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - Salem-Keizer Volcanoes After going down by scores of 8-1 and 3-0 in the Volcanoes previous two outings, Salem-Keizer did themselves no favors on Wednesday evening by surrendering five first-inning runs to the Hops.

However, the Volcanoes scored eight unanswered runs of their own to defeat the Hops 8-6 in front of a record-setting crowd of 4,853 at Ron Tonkin Field.
