(SPIELBERG, Austria ) - Nico Rosberg Nico Rosberg put Mercedes back on top by scoring his third victory of the year in a barnstorming Grand Prix in Spielberg on Sunday, although Williams duo Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas, and then team mate Lewis Hamilton put him under intense pressure throughout.

Bottas eventually came home third behind Hamilton, therefore claiming the first podium of his Formula One career, while Massa held on to fourth ahead of Ferrari's Fernando Alonso.

Volcanoes relief pitching shined in Saturday's win, pitching five scoreless innings and racking up nine strikeouts.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - Salem-Keizer Volcanoes Everett pitching dominated Saturday's ballgame, but the Volcanoes rallied in the bottom of the ninth for yet another comeback victory, 3-2 at Volcanoes Stadium.

It was Salem-Keizer's fourth comeback win of the young season, coming all this week.

Former Pilots Star Ryan Nicholas Signs With German Club

As a senior this past season Nicholas earned All-WCC honorable mention honors for the second straight season.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Ryan Nicholas University of Portland graduate Ryan Nicholas has signed a professional contract with German club Mitteldeutscher BC Weissenfels of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL), the top division in Germany.

Nicholas, a three-year starter with the Pilots, concluded his career ranked No. 5 in Portland history in both rebounds (833) and double-doubles (24) and also was No. 12 in career scoring (1,238).

University of Portland Announces Women`s Soccer Schedule

Portland has led the nation in attendance for nine consecutive seasons.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Pilots Women's Soccer Team The Portland women's soccer team will open the 2014 season with a trip east to battle 2013 NCAA runner-up Florida State before returning home to host Stanford to begin what should be another challenging schedule for the Pilots.

This year's schedule features nine home matches at Merlo Field, five games against 2013 NCAA playoff teams and three games each against teams from the ACC and the Pac-12.

(SONOMA, Calif.) - Jamie McMurray Jamie McMurray saved the best for last on Saturday in winning the pole for Sunday's Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway in record time.

The last driver to make his first attempt in the 10-minute second round of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series knockout qualifying, McMurray knocked AJ Allmendinger off the provisional pole for the first road course race of the season.
