Robbery Suspect Shot After Reportedly Fleeing Portland Police

The officer involved in the shooting is Russ Corno, a 16-year veteran of the Portland Police Bureau and is a member of SERT.

Woman Arrested for Poisoning Baby Daughter with Morphine

She's on probation in LA County for poisoning of her then 10-month-old child in a very similar situation.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - 25-year-old Sara Rose Dillard-Lubin An Oregon woman is charged with giving her infant daughter a high dose of morphine in order to gain attention from the father of the child.

Investigators say on June 3, 2009, 25-year-old Sara Rose Dillard-Lubin took her then two-month-old daughter to the emergency room at St. Vincent's Hospital claiming that her daughter had a high fever.

Gas Price Hikes Follow Crude Oil Price Increases

Gas prices are up for the third week in a row, as the national average for regular unleaded jumps eight cents this week to $2.64 while Oregon's average shoots up ten cents to $2.79.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Gas prices Oregon AAA says pump prices have increased every day since July 21, until today, when the national average dropped two-tenths of a cent overnight.

Gas prices are up for the third week in a row, but are still well below last year's record levels. The national average for regular unleaded jumps eight cents this week to $2.64 while Oregon's average shoots up ten cents to $2.79.

Oregon Air Guard 142nd Security Forces Squadron Returns from Iraq (PHOTOS)

Over the course of their deployment, the Guard airmen endured 15 rocket attacks and more than 100 incidents of small-arms fire.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - 142nd Security Forces Squadron arrived at the Portland International Airport Members of the Oregon Air National Guard returned to Oregon on Friday, August 7, 2009 after a six-month deployment to Iraq.

Captain Stephen Bomar, State Public Affairs Officer for the Oregon Guard, says twenty-nine airmen from the 142nd Security Forces Squadron arrived on four separate commercial flights at the Portland International Airport, to throngs of well-wishers, family members and friends.

Man Charged With Rape After Sex Assault in Portland

Detectives believe the suspect could be connected to other crimes in the area of this incident prior to the sexual assault.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Handcuffed Portland Police Officers responded to a call of a sexual assault that had just occurred in the 2900 Block of NE 160th Drive, August 4, 2009 at approximately 2:30 a.m..

Detective Jeff Sharp with Portland Police says dispatchers at 911 received information during the 911 call that the suspect in the sexual assault was possibly still in the area.

22-year old CC Barber of Scappoose, Oregon, who was crowned Miss Oregon on July 18, at the Miss Oregon Scholarship Pageant in Seaside, will tour units at the 142nd Fighter Wing.

Bicyclist Critically Injured in Collision with Fog Marker on Timberline Road

The woman was transported by LifeFlight to Oregon Health Sciences University.

Head-On Crash Kills Motorcycle Rider and Teen Passenger

The Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team was called to the scene and is continuing to investigate.

(NORTH PLAINS, Ore.) - Fatal bike crash in North Plains, Ore. 7-23-09 Two people were killed instantly when the motorcycle they were riding collided head-on with a pick-up truck. Thursday at about 3:30 p.m. The North Plains Police Department responded to the scene.

Sgt. David Thompson with the Washington County Sheriff's Office, says the male driver and female passenger on the motorcycle were both pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on on NW West Union Road.
