Portland Police Investigating Shots Fired Incident in SE

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Shooting investigation logo This morning at approximately 9:11 a.m., Portland Police officers responded to a residence in the 10800 Block of Southeast Henderson Drive to assist deputies from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office on an incident where a subject fired a handgun.

Officers arrived in the area and spoke with deputies who were at the residence to conduct a welfare check on behalf of the Department of Human Services. Deputies made contact inside the residence with a 42-year-old male who retrieved a handgun and pointed it at himself.

Portland Police Investigate Armed Robbery at Cricket Wireless

(Portland, Oregon) - Salem-News.com This evening at approximately 6:30 p.m., Portland Police officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at Cricket Wireless, located at 3510 Southeast 122nd Avenue.

Officers arrived and learned that the suspect entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded money. The suspect then fled northbound on foot. Officers set up a neighborhood perimeter but did not locate the suspect.

Portland Fire & Rescue Responds to Apartment Fire in SE Portland, Saves one of Cat`s Nine Lives

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Portland Fire & Rescue rescue work on Rex the Cat Portland firefighters responded to reports of flames coming from an apartment at 1112 SE Tacoma St., #1 at 2:23 pm. Firefighters arrived first on scene in just under four minutes after the fire was dispatched at 2:27 pm. Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from a rear bedroom of the residence, which is part of a 4-plex.

Firefighters achieved a quick knock down of the fire, and began searching for two cats which were reported missing. Firefighters located one of the cats, named Rex, in a back bedroom of the structure under a bed.
