Surely it is about time to state the obvious : It is not morality; it is not values, and neither is it any ethical consideration that drives our leaders.

(LONDON) - Israeli F-16's lined up to bomb the civilian population of Gaza. After killing hundreds of thousands of Muslims in the name of democracy, the White House has now decided that ‘stability in the region’ is by far, much more important.

On Saturday, The Wall Street journal reported that the Obama administration is devising a new Middle East strategy in the face of ongoing Arab world turmoil, preferring stability over democracy for key allies in the region.

Human Rights Activists Call on Oregon Elected Officials to Boycott Annual Fundraising Event for Pro-Israel Lobby Group and Plan Protest at Mittleman Community Center in Support of Human Rights.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - AIPAC protest Portland-area human rights activists and pro-peace groups will stage a protest at the Mittleman Jewish Community Center in Portland to call attention to the destructive influence of the pro-Israel lobby the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) on US foreign policy in the Middle East.

AIPAC will hold what it bills as the largest pro-Israel event in Oregon at MJCC which draws many of Oregon's most prominent elected officials.

Medical Teams Sends More Medicines and Supplies to Aid Libyans

This second shipment from Medical Teams International is scheduled to arrive from Holland to Tunisia on Saturday.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Protestors in Libya Medical Teams International continues to rush medicines and supplies to help those hurt in the violence that is escalating inside Libya.

The Portland-based agency has sent $842,000 in medical supplies to save lives of those caught in the cross-fire of ongoing violence.

Portland Police Seeking Public`s Help in Solving 2009 Homicide

This week, Homicide detectives have been distributing an informational flyer in the neighborhood asking for the public's help in identifying two young men that were seen on Southeast 57th Avenue at the time of the gunfire.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - 52-year-old Joseph Portland Police Bureau Homicide Detectives are asking for the public's help in solving the 2009 Southeast Portland homicide of 52-year-old Joseph "Joey" Lawrence Erzen.

On Saturday, August 22, 2009, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Portland Police officers responded to numerous calls of shots fired in the area of Southeast Flavel Street and Southeast 60th Avenue.

Pacific Seafood To Pay $85K To Settle Retaliation Suit

EEOC Alleged Employee Illegally Fired For Raising Issue of Race Discrimination.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - EEOC A Portland-based seafood processor will pay $85,000 and take corrective measures to settle a lawsuit for retaliation filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the agency announced.

The suit asserts that in June 2007, Pacific Seafood Company Inc. and Pacific Seafood Group, Inc. illegally fired Jesus Perez, a warehouse worker, after he spoke to management about racial discrimination.

Portland Police Arrest Two Suspects for Murder

Detectives do not believe that the victim and suspects knew each other.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Handcuffs On Tuesday February 1, 2011, Portland Police detectives along with the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force arrested two suspects in connection with the death of 40-year-old Robert Williams.

39-year-old Lynette Anne Harris of Gresham and 23-year-old Jarome Lamont Weeks of Northeast Portland were arrested and each charged with one count of Murder and one count of Robbery in the First Degree.
