Missing 21-Year Old Man Located in Polk County

Brandon Barrette is safe and sound.

(DALLAS, Ore.) - 21-year old Brandon Barrette On Saturday, June 05, 2010 at about 8:00 a.m., an off duty Polk County Search and Rescue member recognized a male sitting in the Riverview Park, City of Independence, Polk County.

This search and rescue member recognized this male as Mr. Brandon Barrette, who was reported as a missing person on June 3rd, from a county park located at the end of Halls Ferry Road, Polk County.

`Armed and Dangerous` Ferrari Thief on the Loose

Exotic car thief known to frequent Salem, Tillamook and Grande Ronde areas.

(DALLAS, Ore.) - 29-year old Leon Mickey Davis The Polk County Sheriff's Office is requesting help in locating 29-year old Leon Mickey Davis.

Davis is currently wanted for various crimes including Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle when he allegedly stole a 2004 Ferrari, valued at over $125,000.

Plane Crash Kills Two West of Philomath

Two people from Idaho were killed, authorities found the plane early this morning.

(PHILOMATH, Ore.) - Plane crash On Sunday, January 17th at approximately 8:00 p.m. Benton County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue personnel and law enforcement deputies were dispatched to search for a missing plane.

Corvallis airport officials reported that a pilot had filed a flight plan that indicated the plane should be arriving in Corvallis at about 4:00 p.m. When the airplane did not arrive, dispatch was notified and search teams dispatched.

Vandals Seriously Damage Historic Monmouth Cemetery

Investigators hope someone can help identify who damaged these family grave sites.

(MONMOUTH, Ore.) - Image of cemetery courtesy: Google Earth Graveyard vandals struck a historic Polk County cemetery, a resting place for the ancestors of numerous local families, in the days preceding Christmas.

These so far unidentified vandals caused serious damage which in some cases, when it comes to cemetery vandalism, is irreversible.

Holiday Shop with a Cop a in Salem Huge Success

Law Enforcement for Youth would like to thank everyone who contributed to this program.

(SALEM, Ore.) - lawenforcement for youth Law Enforcement for Youth is pleased to announce that the 2009 holiday Shop with a Cop was a huge success. This years program held from 9:00am to noon on Decemeber 12th at the South Salem Walmrt was able to serve 401 children.

107 law enforcement officials from numerous agencies including the Marion County Shiriff's Office, Salem Police Department, Keizer Police Department, Oregon State Police, Oregon Department of Corrections and more.

One Person Dies in Crash Near Rickreall

Anyone planning to use the road may want to consider an alternate route.

(RICKREALL, Ore.) - Fatal crash Oregon State Police troopers are on the scene of a fatal traffic crash in the 10700 block of Highway 223 west of Highway 99W in Polk County.

They say there is one confirmed victim and the highway is reportedly blocked, according to officials with the Oregon Department of Transportation.

Missing 14-Year Old Swimmer Recovered From Willamette River (UPDATED)

The search for the missing swimmer came to a close today with the discovery of the boy's body.

(KEIZER, Ore.) - Missing swimmer near Keizer, Oregon 7-27-09 UPDATE 1:00 p.m.: The Polk County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the Oregon National Guard Helicopter have located the missing 14 year-old boy who disappeared Monday night while swimming with friends in the Willamette River near Spongs Landing.

The body of 14-year old Joe Engichy, was located at 11:00 a.m. today in about seven feet of water.

Lebanon Man Dies in Crash South of Monmouth

The wife of the man who died in the crash was injured.

(MONMOUTH, Ore.) - Fatal crash investigation A Lebanon-area man was killed and three others injured Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 99W and Old Fort Road south of Monmouth.

Oregon State Police troopers say on July 24, 2009 at approximately 11:00 a.m. a 2002 Chevrolet Impala four-door driven by 68-year old Robert Henry Primasing of Lebanon, was westbound on Old Fort Road approaching the intersection with Highway 99W.
