The US Senate called for an investigation into the prescription opioid epidemic in 2012. It is now 2017 and that report has been sealed.

(MYRTLE BEACH, SC) - Almost 10 years ago, I testified in front of the US Senate Committee on the Judiciary and asked for an investigation into Purdue Pharma, maker of OxyContin's criminal marketing of their opioid.

I had also testified for the US Attorney in Virginia when Purdue Pharma pleaded guilty to charges of misleading physicians and patients about the dangers of OxyContin -- also in 2007.

(MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.) - Last week, I was notified of the death of Scott Christianson and once the sheer shock wore off, it was replaced with my deep desire to pay tribute to my unique friend.

One of the newspaper articles regarding Scott's death said his most recent book project looked at the opioid crisis and the contributing role played by drug companies. "He was going to blow the lid off of all of them", it said. Yes Scott, the lid will be blown off all of them.

Surgeon General Murthy Not Facing Addiction in Confusing Report

A bogus report will do nothing to slow down the deaths to prescription opioid "addiction".

(MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.) - Recently, President Trump relieved the Surgeon General of his prestigious position. Many supporters of Dr. Murthy were unhappy with Trump's decision. After all, a report had been issued entitled "Facing Addiction in America - The Surgeon General's Report on Alcohol, Drugs, and Health".

Considering that the Obama administration all but ignored the massive prescription opioid epidemic in the country, Murthy actually issuing a report was monumental.

Several weeks ago, President Trump announced that Marino was being slotted as "drug czar" for the administration.

Heroin Suspect Wanted in Polk County

Samantha Gaines remains at large, has felony warrants for her arrest and is believed to be armed.

(DALLAS, Ore.) - The Polk Interagency Narcotics Team (P.O.I.N.T) began an investigation in March 2017, involving the trafficking of Heroin in the Polk and Marion County areas by suspects Samantha Gaines, Levi McCleskey and others.

McCleskey was taken into custody on April 21. At the time, he was found to be in possession of 22.5 grams of heroin, danabol steroids, and a significant amount of cash and gold.

So why would McCaskill demand action on an epidemic killing in the thousands every year when she is aware the waters are not uncharted?

(SALEM, Ore.) - Search warrants were served late last night in the 1300 block of Rafael Av N and the 3700 block of Portland Rd NE, resulting in one arrest and collection of a myriad of evidence.

This bust was the culmination of an approximately month long investigation by the Salem Police Department's Street Crimes Unit, assisted by the Keizer Police Department, and a narcotics detection K-9 and handler from the Oregon State Police.

Their investigation was to be focused on the American Pain Foundation (they closed their doors when the investigation was announced), the Center for Practical Bioethics, and five other organizations.
