Salem`s Stage Two Water Alert Terminated

The City of Salem announced Wednesday that it has ended the Stage Two Water Alert which began Monday, July 27th 2009.

(SALEM, Ore.) - "Over the last three days, Salem has been able to produce and store seventeen million more gallons than we consumed" said Sophia Hobet, Water Services Manager.

Over the weekend, Salem was able to increase its filtration capacity. This combined with the cooler weather and conservation efforts has enabled the City to return to normal operations within the water System.
