Hunting Violations Land Several in Jail

Two wildlife investigations lead to search warrants and arrests in Central Oregon.

(BEND, Ore.) - Photo of seized evidence in Oregon Fish and Wildlife case from 1-18-08 in Central Oregon. Two search warrants served by Oregon State Police Fish & Wildlife Division troopers in central Oregon led to the arrest of four people on unlawful hunting-related charges.

Sergeant David Pond with OSP's Fish & Wildlife Division in Bend says troopers executed a search warrant today at 51661 Huntington Road in La Pine where evidence related to illegal taking of deer during a closed season was seized including 13 rifles and a handgun.

Senate Approves Gordon Smith`s Bill to Clean-Up Meth Labs

Bill Will Create National Guidelines to Ensure Meth Labs are Cleaned Up.

The new guidelines are part of Senator Smith’s continued effort to combat Oregon’s meth epidemic and the struggle to protect local communities from after effects of the devastating drug.

Kidnap and Meth Arrests Made in Linn County

Police are seeking more witnesses in the case.

(ALBANY, Ore.) - Suspects in a recent meth and kidnapping arrest in Albany, Oregon 12-7-07 Detectives are investigating a kidnapping that occurred on December 4th in the Crawfordsville area.

The search warrant led to two arrests and the discovery of what Mueller describes as user amounts of methamphetamine. A large amount of stolen property was also recovered from the residence and returned to its rightful owner.

Newport Man Busted for Meth in Lincoln City

Deputies also found a glass meth pipe that was hidden in the suspect's sock.

(LINCOLN CITY, Ore. ) - meth bust Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a Newport man after a search of his backpack turned-up Methamphetamine.

Deputies on Thursday contacted 22-year-old Adam Arrambide at the intersection of US Highway 101 and NE Holmes Road in Lincoln City. Deputies located a digital scale and several small plastic baggies used to package Methamphetamine, and two plastic baggies containing Methamphetamine.

Meth Raid Sends Two Albany Women to Jail

The raid was conducted by members of the Linn Drug Task Force consisting of the Linn County Sheriff's Office, Albany and Lebanon Police Departments.

(ALBANY, Ore.) - Crystal Kay Pearsall and Ashley Marie Coats were arrested during the early morning Albany, Oregon drug raid Two Albany women were arrested during a drug raid early this morning. Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller says the raid happened at about 5:42 AM.

"Seized during the raid were dealer quantities of methamphetamine, scales, packaging material, drug paraphernalia, computers, US currency, electronic currency counter and a firearm."

Senate Approves Equal Access to Anti-Meth Programs for Tribes

In a recent Bureau of Indian Affairs survey, 70 percent of tribal law enforcement agencies indicated that meth is the greatest public safety threat to their reservation.

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - methamphetamine photo The U.S. Senate has approved Oregon Senator Gordon Smith’s legislation granting Native American communities equal access to federal funds to combat methamphetamine. Tribes were unintentionally left out as eligible program applicants in the Combat Methamphetamine Epidemic Act of 2005.

“Meth use has a devastating impact on our communities and Indian country is no exception,” Smith said. “We are finally correcting the law to ensure Native American communities have full access to all the tools needed to fight the spread of meth.”

1/4 Pound of Methamphetamine Seized During Traffic Stop

Police say the meth found hidden in the vehicle is worth an estimated $4,000.

(THE DALLES, Oregon) - Seized crystal meth, The Dalles, Oregon 9-27-07 Police say two men were arrested Tuesday night after they were determined to be in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine. It happened during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 about seven miles east of The Dalles.

(ALBANY, Ore.) - Oregon meth suspects, Helen Alice Mundt and 46-year old John Dale Hart Linn County deputies executed a search warrant today at 5:30 AM at the Heatherdale Trailer Court, 950 Airport Rd. Space #52 in Albany. Sheriff Tim Mueller reports that his deputies seized a dealer quantity of Methamphetamine, digital scales, packaging material, smoking devices and paraphernalia during the raid.

Arrested at the scene were 52-year old Helen Alice Mundt and 46-year old John Dale Hart. Both were charged with Unlawful Delivery and Possession of Methamphetamine.

13 People Busted in Pre-Dawn Drug Raid

Police say the operation has been underway for five months.

(DALLAS, Ore.) - Handcuffs A pre-dawn drug raid has netted several methamphetamine suspects in Polk County.

Sheriff Bob Wolfe says the operation called "End Game," "is an excellent example of several agencies working together toward a common goal of dealing with the methamphetamine trafficking that is taking place in our communities."

Oregon City Meth Raid Arrests: Meth, Weapon and Immigration Charges

All three men arrested are described as illegal immigrants.

(OREGON CITY) - Counterclockwise from top: 34-year old Adolfo Quantas Sagrero,  45-year old Luciano Reyesrio and 40-year old Pedro Reyesrio A meth raid in Clackamas County led to the discovery of a kilo of methamphetamine according to investigators, with an assessed street value of $16,000.

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Spokesman Jim Strovink says an Inter Agency Task Force targeted this specific residence over reports of drug activity.
