(Salem) - Salem firefighters head for the spot where the car was last seen Lights flashed and sirens wailed again Wednesday, as Salem firefighters responded in full force to a report of a person in their car washed off of River Road South. The call came in at about 1:45 PM.

Roads all around the mid valley are closed because of flooding river and creek waters. Law enforcement officers like Jim Krieger with the Marion County Sheriff`s Office, say they are becoming increasingly frustrated with people who don`t realize the impact their vehicles have on the roads that are inundated with water.

Big Rainstorm Causes 6,000 to Go Without Power

(Salem) - windy image PGE crews responded all night to power outages throughout the Salem area and beyond, due to high winds and stormy weather. At the height of the storm, about 6,000 customers were without power. Additional crews were called in to work overnight and the Customer Call Center was opened early to respond to calls.

These closures include River Road South, which is a connecting road between South Salem and Independence. Keizer Police Make Arrests in October Pumpkin Throwing Spree

(Keizer) - 17-year old Timothy C. Short and 17-year old Timothy R. Thorton Police in Keizer have been looking hard for the suspects in the pumpkin throwing property damage spree that happened late last October. Keizer Police Sgt Jeff Isham says the agency's Community Response Team wrapped up their investigation Thursday, and arrested two Keizer teens in connection with the case.
