Eugene Man Arrested Hiding in Attic After Police Chase

The man was arrested for Felony Attempt to Elude in a Vehicle and Misdemeanor Attempt to Elude on Foot.

(EUGENE, Ore.) - 44-year old Terry Kevin Larsen of Eugene Deputies in Lane County say a Eugene man was arrested Monday morning, after attempting to elude police officers from several agencies in the Eugene area.

The incident reportedly ended after the man abandoned his car and fled into his sister's residence, where a trooper and deputy convinced him to surrender without further incident.

Oregon State Police Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Crash Near Belknap Springs

50-year old Ann Poole, who was wearing a protective helmet, was thrown from her motorcycle and came to rest on the highway. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.

(BELKNAP SPRINGS, Ore.) - Fatal motorcycle crash near Belknap Springs, Oregon 7-6-09 A Washington state woman died Monday afternoon when she lost control of her motorcycle and crashed into a guardrail along Highway 126E southwest of Santiam Pass.

A state trooper says 50-year old Ann Marie Poole of Ravensdale, Washington was eastbound on Highway 126E on her 2002 Harley Davidson following her husband on a second motorcycle, when she crashed for an unknown reason.

Suspect Sought in Taco Time Armed Robbery

None of the employees were injured by the gunman.

(VENETA, Ore. ) - lane_county_sheriff The Lane County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a suspect who robbed the Veneta, Oregon Taco Time Wednesday night at gunpoint.

An employee came to the counter after hearing the till open and was challenged by a man holding a black handgun.

The suspect ordered the employee to the back of the store where the dishwasher observed what was occurring.

Police Asking for Help Locating Two Attempted Murder Suspects

The suspects left in a dirty red or maroon 1990’s sports coupe with a partial license plate of either 757 or 755.

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - lane county sheriff The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying two men who are wanted on Attempted Murder, First Degree Robbery, First Degree Burglary, Unlawful Use of a Firearm, and Menacing after an incident yesterday afternoon on Barker Rd in Eugene.

At approximately 3:32 PM, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office received a call from 64-year-old James Mahoney advising he returned to his house after working in his pasture and found two males armed with handguns in his house.

Lane County Funeral Home Owner Arrested

Oregon State Police and Springfield Police Department have been conducting the investigation into Franklin since August 1st.

(OAKRIDGE) - Springfield Oregon Police logo Oregon State Police arrested the owner of Oakridge Chapel of the Woods Funeral Home Monday evening related to an investigation into allegations that she was cashing in funeral-expense insurance policies for clients.

On Tuesday, 39-year-old Carolyn Ruth Franklin, aka: Carolyn Hardman, from Springfield, was taken into custody without incident at her home.

Lane County Health Officials Investigating Cases of Gastrointestinal Illness

The outbreak has been linked to those attending the Faerieworlds Festival held near Veneta.

(EUGENE) - Faerieworld Fest singers As of 11:00 AM, Thursday, Lane County Public Health officials have received 75 reports of gastrointestinal illness.

Lane County Environmental Health is working with Faerieworlds Festival organizers and interviewing food vendors.

Public Health employees are interviewing cases to provide education to prevent further spread and to gather information which may or may not identify a common source beyond attendance at the festival.
