Two Century Old Mosque Burned Down by Buddhist Extremists in Maung Daw

Amazingly, there is no report of the extremists who set fire to the market and mosque being arrested.

(RANGOON) - Mosque burning in Burna A villager from Maung daw reports that Rakhine extremists who earlier set fire at municipal market, burned down the two-century old Hakim Ali mosque, or Gabi Mosque as it is also called, around 9:30 p.m. Myanmar standard time.

The Rakhine extremists are burning Rohingya religious and non-religious building one after the other. The most recent mosque to go up in flames was located in Myo Thu Gyi (Hainda fara) village near 3 mile Maung Daw.

(WASHINGTON, DC) - Wildland firefighters The [National Wildfire Suppression Association (NWSA) which represents over 200 private wildland fire companies across the United States strongly supports the Fallen Wildland Firefighters Fair Compensation Act, a bill that was introduced by Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR) in the Judiciary Committee.

This bill if passed would help ensure that families of contract aerial and ground fire resources would be covered under the [Public Safety Officers Benefits Act.

Driver Escapes Injuries in Serious Car Fire (PHOTOS)

A blow out caused the driver to lose control, the vehicle then went between two 6" Diameter size trees hitting both, then striking some bushes, before traveling through a small parking lot.

(TANGENT) - Mini van fire in Tangent, Oregon A car fire was reported at Hwy 99E and Old Hwy 34 in Tangent Halloween night, the call came in around 7:20 p.m. according to All Dennis Weis with the Tangent Fire Dept. Investigators say this happened as a result of a blown out front tire. The problem occurred while the driver of the white mini an was heading south on Hwy 99E.

Blaze in Salem Sends Firefighter to Hospital

With all its stored lumber, glues, sawdust, and machines, there was plenty to catch fire and burn.

(SALEM) - Fire in Salem Oregon 7-11-13 A three alarm fire in Salem was initially reported at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

A number of fire units responded, including two ladder trucks, several fire engines and two medics.

Firefighters Battle 3 Alarm Barn Fire

The barn and property are owned by Eugene Rose from Turner, Oregon.

(JEFFERSON, OR) - Jefferson, Oregon barn fire 7-10-13 Jefferson Fire District was dispatched Tuesday at 10:34 p.m. to a structure fire at 14885 Parrish Gap Road Jefferson, Oregon. Drakes Crossing, Marion, Stayton, Scio and Turner fire agencies were also dispatched to assist with the call.

Upon arrival Incident Commander, Captain Ryan Campbell, stated the barn was completely engulfed in flames and there were several structures and equipment that were being threatened by the fire.

Asiana Airlines Boeing 777 Crashes at San Francisco Airport

The plane, reportedly a Boeing 777, was coming from South Korea, according to flight tracking information.

(SAN FRANCISCO) - Plane crash at SF airport A plane crashed while landing at San Francisco International Airport Saturday morning after its tail came off while it was touching down on the runway.

According to a witness, around 11:20 a.m. the plane was just about to land -- its landing gear had come down -- when the tail of the plane came off. After wobbling for a minute, the aircraft flipped upside down, coming to a stop on runway on it's back.

Child Falls Into Crawl Space

I lost my File of generic pic's, so I didn't put one in for this

(OREGON CITY OR) - Clackamas Fire Last night, shortly before 6:00pm a three year old girl fell 5-6 feet into a crawl space of a home at 14832 Meyers Rd in Oregon City. It was reported that the little girl was playing under the stairs, near the crawl space hatch with her brother at the time of the fall.

The child's mother was viewing the home with their realtor when the incident occurred.

Sheriff`s Divers Recover Man in Clackamas River

The Clackamas River water temperature was 64 degrees today. The Sheriff's Office wants to remind everyone to wear life jackets and be aware the water is still cold this time of year.

(CLACKAMAS, OR) - Rescue on Clackamas River The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office responded to the call of a swimmer who had gone under the water just below the High Rocks area on the Clackamas River.

He was recovered and transported to the hospital with a pulse. It happened today at 2:28 p.m.

Fire Closes Interstate 84 (PHOTOS)

The westbound lanes are closed from between exits 345 and 353.

(HUNTINGTON OR) - Fire off Oregon I-84 6-13-13 Firefighters from several local fire departments, Bureau of Land Management, and U.S. Forest Service are on scene of a fire burning near Interstate 84 east of Huntington that has led to a closure of the freeway's westbound lanes.

According to Oregon State Police Sergeant Kurt Marvin, the fire burned Wednesday evening approximately two miles along Interstate 84 before the wind shifted and moved the fire north.
