3 Arrested in McMinnville Drug Raid

(McMINNVILLE, Ore. ) - Daniel Joseph Martin Mug Shot On Saturday, at about 5:00 a.m, McMinnville Officers and Yamhill County Sheriff's Office deputies served a search warrant for narcotics at 2400 SE Stratus Avenue #88.

The basis of the warrant was information provided by citizens that had noted apparent drug activity occurring at that residence or with the resident, 32-year-old Daniel Joseph Martin.

UPDATED: Police Identify Body Found in South Salem Park

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Woodmansee Park Salem Police have identified the man found dead inside Woodmansee Park in south Salem on July 2.

Salem Police spokesman Lt. Steve Birr says 27-year-old Andrew Betts, a transient, died from an accidental overdose of heroin.

(RIVERSIDE, Calif. ) - Cynthia Ann Watson A grandmother whose 2-year-old granddaughter drank methamphetamine laced tea has pleaded guilty to child endangerment and possession of a controlled substance.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise reports 51-year-old Cynthia Ann Watson entered the pleas Tuesday in a Riverside County court. She was sentenced to 60 days in custody, including 43 days in a work-release program.

One witness tells Salem-News.com that Salem police officers and Salem firefighters tried valiantly to safe the victim by performing CPR and rendering other medical aid, but they were not successful.

(GARNER VALLEY, Calif. ) - Cynthia Watson An Oregon grandmother who authorities said made a cup of methamphetamine-laced tea while visiting family in California is facing a felony child endangerment charge after her 2-year-old granddaughter drank the concoction and was hospitalized.

51-year-old Cynthia Watson, of the Portland area, was charged on Monday with felony child endangerment and possession of methamphetamine, and was due in court on Wednesday, Riverside County Sheriff's spokesman Deputy Alberto Martinez said.

Why is the Attorney General's office in Pennsylvania disinterested?

(MYRTLE BEACH, SC) - Gene DiGirolamo Representative Gene DiGirolamo of Pennsylvania was quoted as saying about the prescription opioid/heroin problem in his state "People are dying all over the state of Pennsylvania -- it is a big problem and is absolutely epidemic in Pennsylvania."
