(DALLAS, Ore. ) - The Polk County Inter-Agency Narcotics Team on Thursday, completed several drug investigations that began earlier this month. And one thing was consistent between all of them, large amounts of methamphetamine and heroin where being distributed throughout the non-incorporated parts of Polk County and also in the cities of West Salem, Dallas, Monmouth, Independence, Falls City and Grand Ronde. During the investigation, police seized nearly 2 pounds of Methamphetamine and over 2 ounces of heroin, along with over $6,000 in cash and one car. "The cases that the POINT team concluded are very significant for our county, because these cases reached just about every corner of Polk County, including every city", said Detective Sergeant Mark Garton. Garton added that the street value of the drugs is over $41,000. Police arrested 54-year-old William Daniels of Lincoln City on Tuesday and charged with the following crimes: Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine (substantial quantity); Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Total Bail - $515,000. On Thursday police arrested 33-year-old Christopher Perez of Falls City and was charged with the following crimes: Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine (substantial quantity); Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Total Bail - $525,000. There were three other people were arrested in connection with these cases. However, not all of them were lodged in the Polk County Jail, and there names were not currently available. Garton said more arrests are still to be made as a result of the investigations and additional charges will be filed to all of the involved. _________________________________________
