(SALEM) - 20-year old Christal D Smith Salem Police Street Crimes Detectives arrested a 20-year old Portland woman when she arrived at the Salem Police Department to complete a pre-arranged deal for sexual activity.

Undercover Salem Police Street Crimes Detectives had been communicating with a female on line through an internet site, by phone and text for a couple of days.

Salem Police Officer Shoots Man Described as Fugitive After Chase

The suspect, Gabriel Diaz, has been listed on the Salem Police Top Ten Most Wanted list since February of 2012.

(SALEM) - The suspect, Gabriel Diaz, has been listed on the Salem Police Top Ten Most Wanted list since February of 2012. A Salem Police Officer was involved in a shooting of a 29-year old fugitive on January 23 near the intersection of Lockhaven Dr N and Inland Shores Way N in Keizer following a pursuit.

The incident began at approximately 8:51 a.m. when Salem Police Officers attempted to stop a vehicle with a known wanted suspect inside near the intersection of Cordon Rd NE and Carolina Ave NE. The suspect had three valid warrants for Sexual Abuse in the First Degree and had been sought by investigators.

(SACRAMENTO, CA) - Officer Kevin Tonn and his dog Yaro A 31-year old police officer was shot to death today in Galt, California, while responding to a burglary today around 11:30 a.m.

Galt police Lt. Jim Uptegrove says Officer Kevin Tonn was fatally shot during what he described as a physical altercation with the suspect, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
