Oregon Guard Scrambles F-15 Jet Fighters to Escort Hawaiian Flight

The F-15 fighter jets become a federal asset once alerted, placing them under presidential authority.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - F-15 fighter jet from the Oregon National Guard Two Oregon Air National Guard F-15 fighters, under the direction of North American Aerospace Defense Command, intercepted Hawaiian Air Flight 39 in the vicinity of Portland, Ore., Today.

The F-15s, stationed at Portland Air National Guard Base, escorted the aircraft until it landed at Portland International Airport without incident at approximately 1:15 p.m. PST, where the plane was met by law enforcement and the Transportation Security Agency.

The eyewitnesses said Israeli F16 fighter jets targeted an open area east of the Shujayya neighborhood of Gaza City while military tanks launched several artillery shells at the Shujayya and Tuffah neighborhoods simultaneously.

CNN reported that Camp Lejeune dependents filed $35 billion in tort claims for injuries associated with the toxic well water. The Navy suspended any action on the tort claims, pending the results of water studies by the Federal government.

(NEW YORK) - Airplane in Paris We all know that on Christmas Day a terrorist tried to blow up a Detroit-bound airliner. This tragedy was thwarted thanks to the bravery of his fellow passengers. Most of all, we need to thank God that 289 lives were saved.

But now, once again, there is fear and anxiety about air travel. The government is trying to calm the public. The president is doing his best to reassure people that flying will still be safe. Yet instead of seeing one another as human beings, we have made this debate increasingly political.
