Albany Woman Charged in Attempted Baby Theft

Detectives believe the suspect has displayed similar behavior at other hospitals, they want to hear from anyone who may have additional information.

(ALBANY, Ore.) - 25-year old Trinity Hanley Louise Vidal-Hernandez of Albany Albany Police detectives arrested a 25-year old woman around 10:00 a.m. this morning for attempting to kidnap an infant from Samaritan Albany General Hospital on September 19, 2009.

Albany Police Captain Eric Carter, says Trinity Hanley Louise Vidal-Hernandez of Albany was arrested for second-degree Attempted Kidnapping, Initiating a False Report, second-degree Disorderly Conduct and second-degree Criminal Mischief.

Cascade Foods Sued For Firing Woman with Restraining Order Against Co-Worker

Female Worker Fired After Reporting Sexual Harassment by Co-Worker, Federal Agency Charges.

(ALBANY, Ore.) - EEOC logo The EEOC lawsuit says a female employee was fired for placing a restraining order against her co-worker who physically and verbally threatened her safety.

It is reported that she obtained the order because the man hit her, and that Cascade asked her to have the restraining order changed so that her abuser could continue to work for the company.

45 Neglected Cats Seized by Linn County Deputies (GRAPHIC PHOTOS)

Linn County Sheriff Deputy Arrests Driver for Speeding at 153 MPH

A second person described as Anderson's girlfriend, was also arrested on a felony warrant out of Oregon.

(Albany, ore.) - 25-year old Christopher Vaughn Gordy of Rancho Cucamonga, California Police report that a 26-year-old psychiatric patient wanted for felony escape from the Oregon State Hospital in Salem was arrested Sunday afternoon in Ogden, Utah. A second person identified as his girlfriend was also arrested.

Oregon State Police detectives confirmed David Anderson, who had escaped from a supervised hospital yard on Saturday afternoon, was apprehended about 3:00 p.m. Sunday by Ogden Police Department and taken into custody.

Albany Man Killed in Crash on Highway 20 Near Eddyville

Two others were seriously injured in the crash.

(NEWPORT, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Police say an Albany-area man died and two others were seriously injured Wednesday morning in a two vehicle head-on crash on Highway 20 about two miles east of Eddyville.

OSP Sergeant Justin McGladrey says today at approximately 8:10 a.m. a 2006 Saab was eastbound on Highway 20 near milepost 26 when it attempted to pass another vehicle using the westbound lane, striking another vehicle head-on.

Crash Near Albany Kills Two (PHOTOS)

The driver of a car and a motorcycle rider were both killed.

(ALBANY, Ore.) - Fatal crash near Albany, Oregon 8-7-09 Police say two people were killed Friday afternoon in a head-on crash on Highway 20 east of Albany. It happened at approximately 2:45 p.m.

State Police troopers say a 1999 Saturn 4-door, operated by 46-year old Michelle Irma Eldridge of Lebanon, was westbound on Highway 20 near milepost 9.

Highway 20 Reopens After Double Fatal Crash Near Albany

Highway 20 is now open at MP 9 between Albany and Lebanon after a vehicle crash.

(ALBANY, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Oregon State Police report that state troopers from the OSP Albany Command say two people died in a traffic collision on Highway 20 at Milepost 9 today. OSP Sgt. Dan Swift says this is a section of highway just east of Albany.

Troopers advise that Highway 20 is now open at MP 9 between Albany and Lebanon after a vehicle crash.

Man Dies From Crash that Split His Car in Half

OSP troopers investigating the crash report several driving complaints involving the Mazda were phoned into Linn County Sheriff's Office and they were attempting to find it when the crash happened.

(ALBANY, Ore.) - Fatal crash near Albany, Oregon 7-24-09 Police say one person died and two other people were injured Thursday afternoon in a three vehicle collision on Highway 226 about four miles west of Scio.

Oregon State Police troopers from the Albany Area Command office are continuing the investigation into the crash in which speed and alcohol are possible contributing factors involving the victim driver.

TRAFFIC MOVING After Six Vehicle Crash on Highway 20 Near Albany

Traffic is again flowing on Highway 20, but the southbound lanes of I-5 are blocked from another crash.

(ALBANY, Ore.) - Crash investigation Oregon highway department officials in the Willamette Valley say the road has been cleared after a head-on collision has closed US Highway 20 at mile post 4 earlier today.

US Highway 20 has now reopened between mileposts 4 and 5 after a head-on collision. Officials say drivers should expect some delays while traffic flows return to normal.

Major Tribute to Veterans This Weekend in Albany (VIDEO)

Veterans at Timber Linn Park need construction and labor help on the Traveling Vietnam Wall.

(ALBANY, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Volunteers are needed at Timber Linn Park in Albany to help construct an amazing tribute for veterans that will be on display through July 19th.

The Oregon Veteran's Tribute is presented by the Linn County Veterans Memorial Association and it takes place through Sunday. It consists of the Traveling Vietnam Wall and the Veteran's of Oregon Field of Flags.
