2012 Minidoka Pilgrimage June 21 - June 24, 2012

Celebrating our 10th Annual Minidoka Pilgrimage and recognizing the 70th Anniversary signing of Executive Order 9066

(SEATTLE) - Sept '95 photo of ruins of Camp Minidoka in Idaho Seventy years ago, almost 13,000 people of Japanese-ancestry, many of whom were American citizens, were removed from their homes and sent to a desolate “incarceration camp" near Twin Falls, Idaho.

This summer, the 10th pilgrimage will take place with former internees, their families, and friends - from Seattle, Portland and across the nation - to the former Minidoka Camp in Idaho.

Holocaust Memorial Week Observed April 16-20

(CORVALLIS, OR) - Sala – Oregon State University will observe Holocaust Memorial Week April 16-20 with a series of events including a public exhibit of letters from Holocaust survivor Sala Garncarz. Oregon State University will observe Holocaust Memorial Week April 16-20 with a series of events.

These include an exhibit of letters from Holocaust survivor Sala Garncarz, a theatrical performance highlighting Garncarz’s struggles in a concentration camp, a talk about the genocide of native peoples and a concert by an acclaimed flutist.

A Veteran`s Plea To Our Congress And Senate

Veterans are easily forgotten by our legislators, until we remind them of who we are and why we fought for America’s freedom and why you may one day need help.

(MEDIA, PA) - Veteran healthcare is a serious issue in America Veterans who are in need of Veterans Affairs (VA) for health care and due process of disability claims, it is our Government’s obligation to take responsibility and be sympathetic to those in need, The American people need to query their members of Congress and Senate.

World War II Veteran Receives French Legion of Honor

The French Consulate's speech embodied the heart felt appreciation of the French people.

(LOPEZ ISLAND, Wash.) - 4th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, gives appreciation and gratitude for Moore's actions during World War II. Moore was awarded the French Legion of Honor during a ceremony, Feb. 25 Roy Moore fought the Germans throughout France in an effort to liberate them from the grasp of the Nazis.

About 200 friends, family members and guests recently gathered to watch as now retired Col. Roy Moore Jr. was awarded a Chevalier of the French Legion of Honor, for his actions in France during World War II.
