Fatal Pedestrian-Involved Traffic Crash - Interstate 5 North of Woodburn

OSP, Woodburn Police Department, Woodburn Fire Department, and ODOT responded to the scene where the deceased adult male pedestrian was found lying in the right northbound lane.

(WOODBURN) - Pedestrian fatal accident 4-25-14 Oregon State Police (OSP), with the assistance of the Marion County medical examiner, is continuing the investigation into Friday morning's fatal pedestrian-involved traffic crash that occurred in the northbound lanes about two miles north of Woodburn.

Initial investigation indicates the pedestrian intentionally moved into the truck's path resulting in the death of the 50-year old man. His name will be released later today.

Man Pleads Guilty in Woodburn Stabbing Incident

Juan Torres-Santizo was sentenced to 8 months in jail with post prison supervision of 36 months.

(SALEM) - Juan Torres-Santizo Juan Torres-Santizo pled guilty to Attempted Assault in the Second Degree yesterday, March 25, 2014, before Judge Dale W. Penn in Marion County Circuit Court. The charge arose out of a fight at an apartment complex located at 1590 James Street, Woodburn, Oregon on August 4, 2014. Although the defendant attempted to stab Antonio Segundo, the victim was unharmed.

Juan Torres-Santizo was sentenced to 8 months in jail with post prison supervision of 36 months. He is currently being held in custody as a material witness in a companion case against Mateo Torres-Morales.

Woodburn Man Stabbed, Later Dies at Hospital

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to call the Woodburn Police Department at 503-982-2345.

(WOODBURN) - Stabbing investigation Woodburn police officers, along with the Marion County Homicide Assault Response Team (H.A.R.T.), are investigating a stabbing that happened near the intersection of Brown and Bradley streets in Woodburn.

Woodburn officers arrived at the scene on Feb. 6 at 10:13 p.m. and found an adult male who had been stabbed. He was transported to an area hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.

Woodburn police are looking for a light-skinned adult male who robbed Guacamole Market, located at 1335 N. Pacific Highway, on Friday evening around 9:40 p.m.

The suspect was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun. The suspect entered the store and took money out of the register. He made no verbal threats or any other communication. The suspect exited the store and headed south. A K9 search was conducted but officers were unable to locate the suspect.

14 Year Old Ruins Mom`s Car Fleeing From Police

More than a dozen officers were involved in the pursuit.

(WOODBURN) - Car used in pursuit, Woodburn, Oregon 5-4-13 Police say a 14 year old led officers on a high speed pursuit, the driver, at speeds up to approximately 115 miles per hour.

The chase ended when the wheels were completely ground off, forcing the car to a stop, unable to move any further.

Tow Truck Crashes After Losing Brakes on South Salem Hill

(SALEM) - M&M tow truck crash The owner of a local towing company did something he thought he'd never do; he supervised the recovery of his tow truck following a crash that landed the truck near the bottom of a steep hill.

The incident began at about 11:52am, this morning when Mickey Henson, 51, of M & M Towing in Woodburn was called to the scene of an earlier crash to help with the removal of a large truck trailer.

Police Respond to Reported Bomb at Woodburn Bank

The city of Woodburn was the scene of a tragic bomb squad deployment in December 2008 that claimed the lives of two officers.

(WOODBURN, OR) - Woodburn Police Oregon State Police responded to a report of a bomb today at the Wells Fargo Bank on 99E and Hwy 211 in the city of Woodburn.

A reported suspicious device was reported in the bank parking lot, adjacent to a Safeway strip mall.

(WOODBURN, OR) - Shooting in Woodurn, Oregon A man was shot in a Woodburn, Oregon front yard on the afternoon of 18 September, police say it was not self-inflicted.

"We Don't know much at this time" says Cpl Shawn Hershberger of Woodburn Police. It Happened around 4:30 pm in a front yard located at Hardcastle Av and Gatch St in Woodburn OR. "The Marion County H.A.R.T. team is assisting in the investigation" says Heshberger.
