No Glory in War for this Veteran

Veterans Day ceremonies are part of a false promise of victory against those who would no more be defeated and mastered than would we.

(PORTLAND, OR) - Burning HUMVEE I am a veteran – of the Vietnam era, as are my friends and my brothers. My father, uncles, and an aunt were veterans of World War II. A great uncle was stationed on a battleship during World War I. A great-grandfather fought in the Civil War, an immigrant in an Illinois regiment who suffered the rest of his life from his bullet wound.

Veterans Day on November 11 was formerly Armistice Day, celebrating the end of the Great War. But it has turned from a celebration of peace to a celebration of the false glory of war.

PTSD: There`s No Such Thing!?

Consider the Washington massacre and personality disorder

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Salem-News.com I don't know if I can call myself a PTSD expert, or not, but I did have more than 1000 PTSD patients whom I successfully treated. I also have PTSD from my 25-month visit to the US Army in World War Two. PTSD is a mental disorder, because people with it are not normal.

PTSD victims had too much artillery, mortar attacks, airplane strafing and the usual hell of combat.
I was “able” to survive the PTSD by working after I got out, hard- physically- and psychologically, by getting two Masters degrees and two Doctors degrees.

Red Dragonfly Veteran Health Mission: Dodging Raindrops in Tennessee

Weather has impacted the trip but I have been very fortunate for the most part.

(NASHVILLE, Tennessee) - Tim King's motorcycle in Tennessee Operation Red Dragonfly has been successful and long for a solo motorcycle ride, and it is far from over, which is a mixed bag. I decided to do this national tour to raise awareness of veteran health issues which are claiming lives left and right.

It has been a whirlwind trip, some days have seen nearly 500 miles covered in a single day. Others were busy with speaking engagements and interviews. Overall, I am very happy with it and the team and I see it happening next year as well.

Coming to a Military Base Near You...
Tim King and The Red Dragonfly

Tim's national tour is dependent on the support of people everywhere who recognize the need and are helping this donation-backed mission to reach Veterans in order to educate them about the toxic chemicals to which they have been exposed.

(DAYTONA BEACH, FL) - Tim King visiting Veterans at the VFW hall in Springfield, Missouri. It's not as if Tim King has a lot of time on his hands. For the past eight years, he and his wife Bonnie - both international award-wining reporters and photo-journalists - have been running a hard-hitting independent news agency in Oregon called Salem-News.Com.

With an online publication that covers the real news of the world, unlike the managed, filtered variety served up by the closely held media giants, the Kings front 122 dedicated writers from Sri Lanka to London and from Kabul to Daytona Beach, Florida.
