Chase Bank in Vancouver robbed Updated Photo Added

The suspicious device the suspect left behind had the appearance of an IED (Improvised Explosive Device). Actual determination of it's authenticity will be determined by MEDU.

(VANCOUVER, Wash.) - Robbery Investigation Vancouver Police were dispatched to the Chase Bank in Cascade Park (13215 SE Mill Plain) at 11:52 am Saturday morning October 2, 2010. The suspect entered the bank carrying a pink bag and presented a demand note, indicating he was heavily armed, had a bomb and wanted cash. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash and he fled the bank. As he exited the bank, he left the pink bag in the entryway, then fled on foot in a SW direction. Witnesses said the suspect was last seen running west from 131st Ave and SE 5th Street. A K9 track was unsuccessful.

AAA Says Gas, Crude Prices Are Moving Up

Retail gas prices are on the rise this week. The national average for regular unleaded jumps a nickel to $2.66, and Oregon's average gains two cents to $2.75.

Male Shot in Vancouver Convenience Store (UPDATE)

‏The victim has been identified as 29-year old Jose Guadalupe Muro of Vancouver.

(VANCOUVER, Wash.) - Shooting investigation Clark County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the BI LO Food Mart at NE 88th St and Hwy 99 in Hazel Dell over a report of shots fired inside the store. A second caller stated that a male subject was injured. Sgt K.C. Kasberg with the Clark County Sheriff's Office says it happened at approximately 10:00 p.m.

"When deputies arrived they located a male subject with multiple gunshot wounds who was conscious and breathing."

Suspect Sought in Second-Degree Attempted Murder and Robbery

Miguel Torres is believed to be in the Beaverton Oregon area with significant ties to Vancouver.

(VANCOUVER, Wash.) - 18-year old Miguel Andrew Torres-Izazaga The Vancouver Safe Streets Task Force is seeking the public's assistance in locating a wanted person, 18-year old Miguel Andrew Torres-Izazaga, who may be using the name "Angel" Izazaga or "Stomper".

Sgt Tim Huberty with Vancouver Police says there is currently a warrant for his arrest for Attempt Murder II and Robbery for an incident that happened on December 14th in the 4200 block of E 18th Street.

Retail gas prices continue to hold steady with prices about the same as last week, and within a few cents of where they were a month ago.

National Average Ticks Up while West Coast Prices Ease

But Oregon's Average is Still Fifth Most Expensive in the Country for Fifth Consecutive Week

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Gas pump nozzle The national average for regular unleaded is creeping up, while pump prices on the West Coast continue to slip. The national average gains two cents this week to $2.48, while Oregon's average drops a nickel to $2.73.

AAA Oregon Public Affairs Director Marie Dodds says it's the first time since early August we've seen the national average go up.
