Street Re-Opened: Mission Street Accident (PHOTOS)

Mission Street has been reopened.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Mission Street accident Mission Street SE between 17th & 22nd Streets is closed due to a vehicle crash. The vehicle landed in Shelton Ditch and first responders have closed traffic due to the situation.

Watch for detour signs and avoid the area until further notice.

Gary Monaco, Guilty of Manslaughter, Arrested in Bend

Monaco had been found guilty of Manslaughter in the First Degree for the 2012 crash that caused the death of Laura Schaefer

(BEND, Ore.) - Laura Schaefer fatal At about 7:50 p.m. On Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, officers with the Bend Police were dispatched to a call of a suspicious male attempting to break into a vehicle and possibly using drugs at 63492 Hunnell Road in Bend.

Upon their arrival, police contacted Gary Monaco -- who was found to have a warrant for his arrest for failing to appear in Clackamas County Circuit Court.

Driver Involved in October 15 Fatal Crash Near Molalla Arrested on Drug-Related Warrant

The victim's 3-year old granddaughter received non-life threatening injuries in the crash.

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - Buschke A Colton man was arrested last weekend on drug-related charges associated with the ongoing investigation into an October 15 fatal traffic crash near Molalla.

During the ongoing investigation OSP seized evidence. A search warrant was authorized that resulted in the seizure of controlled substances including heroin and methamphetamine from a container found inside Buschke's car.

Driver Arrested Following Fatal Traffic Crash on OR Hwy 97

Alcohol and reckless driving are two of the five charges against Fix.

(REDMOND, Ore.) - Fatal crash on Hwy 97 Preliminary investigation indicates a 1997 Chevrolet Suburban driven by 32-year old William Wayne Fix from Redmond, was traveling northbound in a reckless manner when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a rock embankment where it rolled and came to rest on its side.

Passenger 7-year old Phoenix Marie Price from Redmond, was pronounced deceased at the scene. She is reportedly the driver's stepdaughter.

Multiple Cars Involved in I-5 Fatal Crash

The Sentra's passenger is in Critical condition.

(SALEM, Ore.) - fatal crash On September 24, 2014 at approximately 7:50 a.m., a 2005 Ford Ranger pickup driven by 53-year old Michael Lippman, from SE Salem, was northbound in heavy rain conditions when it collided into the left side of a tanker trailer.

The pickup then crossed the raised grass center median into the southbound lanes where it collided head-on with a 1993 Nissan Sentra two-door with two occupants. The Nissan's driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Driver Dies Following Serious Injury Crash - Highway 99E south of Oregon City

Car trouble ends in tragedy near Oregon City.

(OREGON CITY, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Three people were transported to a Portland-area hospital and one of the individuals died after arrival. All lanes were open about 6:00 p.m.

On September 22, 2014 at approximately 2:45 p.m., a 2000 Nissan Frontier pickup with two occupants was southbound on Highway 99E at milepost 16 when the driver pulled over and stopped due to a problem with the pickup on a limited shoulder about 3 feet wide and partially in the right hand lane.

Serious Injury Hit & Run Crash Involving Motorcycle and ATV - Highway 99E North of Brooks

OSP is seeking information to help locate the involved vehicle and operator.

(SALEM, Ore.) - hit and run Oregon State Police is continuing the investigation into Sunday night's serious injury hit & run crash that occurred on Highway 99E near Waconda Road NE about three miles north of Brooks. The crash seriously injured a motorcyclist and OSP is looking for information to help locate a reported involved ATV and its operator.

On September 7, 2014 at approximately 8:41 p.m., a motorcycle operated by 48-year old Keith Miller, from Woodburn, was traveling on Highway 99E near milepost 39 when it collided with an ATV that was crossing the highway.

A bicycle being ridden by a 53 yr old male who was traveling east on Union St. NE, and crossing Commercial St NE was struck by a silver 1990's model Jeep Cherokee who had been traveling south on Commercial St. NE.

(SEATTLE) - Seattle city street Whether you're directionally challenged or a navigational pro, the latest poll from PEMCO Insurance reveals that most Northwest drivers find a GPS to be the lesser of two evils when it comes to technology distractions on the open road.

According to the PEMCO Insurance Northwest Poll, nearly half of drivers in Washington and Oregon (47 percent) think it's less distracting to use a GPS while driving, when compared to talking or texting on a cell phone while at the wheel.
