Egypt Military Rejects US Threats & Braces for General Strike

(ALEXANDRIA, Egypt) - Egyptian investigative judges investigating the foreign funding of NGOs, enter a press conference at the Justice Ministry in Cairo on Feb. 8, 2012 Egypt’s ruling military council has rejected US threats to end aid payments to the country.

US-Egypt tensions have risen considerably following the decision to ban 43 pro-democracy staffers from travel, and charge them in a Cairo court for violating laws regulating the operation of NGOs.

In the piece the council downplays the fears of many skeptics who envision the perilous consequences of an attack on Iran tantamount to a WWIII scenario, and therefore refuse to subscribe to a preemptive strike of its nuclear facilities.

Fake profiles used by Department of Homeland Security, says privacy group, List of keywords flags ‘danger’ signal, DHS may attempt to identify users from their accounts - Keywords include ‘virus’, ‘drill’ and ‘illegal immigrant’

(ALEXANDRIA, Egypt) - U.S. spies The Department of Homeland Security makes fake Twitter and Facebook profiles for the specific purpose of scanning the networks for ‘sensitive’ words – and tracking people who use them.

Simply using a word or phrase from the DHS’s ‘watch’ list could mean that spies from the government read your posts, investigate your account, and attempt to identify you from it, according to an online privacy group.
