Willamette Men`s Cross Country Team is #22 in Preseason Poll

Bearcats Open Season at Pier Park Invitational on Sept. 10

(Salem, Oregon) - Willamette Bearcats The Willamette University men's cross country team, which won the West Region title and finished 23rd at the NCAA Championships last season, is ranked #22 in the 2011 NCAA Division III Preseason Poll released by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Wednesday, Aug. 25. The Bearcat men's team also is ranked #1 in the West Region, while the WU women's cross country team is ranked #6 in the West Region.

(GAZA CITY) - Gaza games Keeping their feet firmly on the ground, Gaza’s children stormed into the Guinness Book of World Records for the third year straight today, as they broke the record for the world’s biggest parachute game.

Schoolchildren from across the Gaza Strip gathered at Khan Younis stadium late this afternoon for the first of four world records they will attempt to break in Gaza this summer.

OSU names Duke University leader, OSU alumnus as director of Alumni Association

Greenwood succeeds Jeff Todd, who resigned last year to accept a position at the University of British Columbia. Christi Kasten has been interim director.

(WASHINGTON D.C. AMA) - AMA logo The CPSIA, commonly called the "lead law," was designed to ban small toys with high lead content. However, because of broadly written language in the law, it has been interpreted to apply to all products for kids, including dirtbikes, bicycles, clothing and books.

Action is needed now to exempt kid-sized dirtbikes and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) from the CPSIA.
